Description
Super Metroid for the SNES. The best game ever created. The title screen should already be burned into your memory forever, but in case it isn't, this animated wallpaper of it should help.

To run my sprite based wallpapers properly, go to your settings and adjust "FPS" to 60!

Um... Mind my noobiness here... but what exactly is this for? Is it for source games, or for Windows, or Steam? I'm fairly confused about it.

@CrAzY Understood, Any possibility of you making more wallpapers of this sort? I'd kind of like to see some of the gamecube era title screens and N64 type title screens. Any way you could also upload some with a music loop of that game's title theme? because personally I love Super Metroid's title theme.

I have no idea, honestly. The animated image is 104 KB, but Wallpaper Engine does something to this file and creates a 96 MB .tex file that is associated with it. If I knew how to chop down on this size, I definitely would.

Uploaded an original Metroid title screen wallpaper, enhanced for wide screen by expanding the animated stars and ground. Enjoy! :chic:

Awesome. I would love to see some Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and if you are considering NES, Legend of Zelda, Destiny of an Emperor, and Metroid.

Thank you for my being the first to reply to one of my Workshop items! I am glad you enjoy it. This is my personal favorite of all the backgrounds I made, and saying that, yes, I know that the background image doesnt align perfectly with the animated image. I made them both from the same image and saved them with similar parameters, so I don't know why it has that pixel shift.

Luckily, it's barely noticeable. I will polish this up when I get a chance!
