STAR WARS TIE Fighter (Outdated) *ORIGINAL*

The TIE, or Twin Ion Engine, Fighter. The work horse and unbranded symbol of the Imperial war machine. The sight, and moreover, sound of which struck fear in the heart of anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in it's targeting lock.

The product and descendant of many generations of starfighters and light craft before it, the TIE fighter marked the pinacle of Imperial fighter design and spurred many other models which followed, including TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, and even Darth Vader's own personal TIE Advanced.

Lacking basic design features that accompanied so many other craft, such as shields, life support, and heavy weaponry, the TIE fighter was light, cheap, and quickly manufactured in massive droves. The absence of these seemingly critical systems, although detrimental to individual craft, was overcome by speed, maneuverability, and attacking in sheer numbers, overwhelming it's enemies.

Despite it's shortcomings however, the TIE fighter was equiped with two fairly powerful laser cannons which could make short work of your average X-wing, A-wing, or Y-wing and thus it was capable of giving the Rebellion a run for their money during crucial battles.

I know I know, there's like a THOUSAND of these builds out there already. Well, if you wanted something to fight that has my stamp on it, here it is, a simple build that almost literally fell together. I finished this in under 3 hours and it performs surprisingly well I have to admit, considering the thrusters I had to cram inside it. It's also atmospheric!

As usual, I know you guys hate it, but in order to make things pretty, I hid thrusters, ergo, turn off thruster damage. A lot of fun with destructible blocks enabled though! I actually had it spin out of control when it took damage at one point, just like in the movies!

Also, you must "Enable oxygen" in the advanced game settings so that the O2 generator used to power the thrusters will function.
