Description
The RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor was a quick strike fighter derived from the Reublic Starfighters of the Clone Wars era. Because of it's high success rate in battle, several variations of the A-wing were used prior to the formation of the Rebel Alliance as well as long after, making it one of the longest used fighter craft in the Rebel fleet.

Sacrificing shields and heavy weaponry for raw speed, it was equiped with two large sublight engines to not just match the Empire's TIE Interceptor for speed, but to outright beat it in a one on one dogfight. It's most famous debut was by Green Squadron, fending off the TIE Interceptors in the Battle of Endor during the attack on the Death Star II.

Another simple build that actually proved a bit more challanging than originally anticipated due to the shape of the ship relatve to the shape of the blocks. I have seen several variations on the workshop, some of which are pretty good but that utilize mods, and not being a fan of mods, this is my iteration. Not as pretty as I would have liked and I may end up re designing the front end but that's the price to pay for vanilla I suppose.

As usual, to make this item functional and to preserve authenticty, thrusters have been hidden internally so be sure to turn off thruster damage. That being said, this item is atmospherically capable.

(UPDATE)
Also, it requires air tightness to be enabled in the game settings so that the O2 generator used to power the thrusters will function.

My Nebulon-B Frigate is also featured in the depiction!

Have fun everybody!

Also, be sure to check out my other Star Wars recreations in my Workshop, with more exciting builds on the way!

I don't know how you managed it but even I've had issues with a lot of my builds, but man I'm glad they still work for some people!

True, but I always prefer quality over quantity. Keep up the great work dude!

Mostly because people tend not to rate things much and he has a LOT more builds than I do and floods the workshop. That being said, I really don't have much more of an answer because he makes some pretty good stuff himself. He's earned his following.

Dude. How do you not get more recognized than Blinky? Your builds are so much better.

Yes indeed, if thruster damage is enabled. I know a lot of people hate that I do that, but I have no way to keep things authentic and utiize creativity if I have to accommodate such things, especially for small builds with limited space such as this. Plus the way keen has creative mode set up now, I have had plenty of fun fighting AI (cuz lets face it, multiplayer is garbage still).

As far as TIE fighters go... I can neither confirm nor deny the existance of any such thing :P

Thoes TIE's look legit. Nice rear shot of the A-Wing too. Looking at the main engines, are those thrusters going to damage the block behind them?
