Industrial Bore #37

Description
It gives me great pleasure to introduce TCB Industry's latest model of Industrial bores. The IB37.
This hover vehicle is built to tackle the largest ore deposits quickly and efficiently.

Like many of our industrial craft, this is a crewed vehicle. The IB37 has a maximum crew of 4 plus the pilot. A full crew is required for peak efficiency but a 2 man crew plus a pilot is enough for most operations. The IB37 can be operated with just a pilot but this limits efficiency greatly.

Now, Let's go over some of the equipment onboard.

(Operational equipment)
6 Drill modules.
4 Drill turrets.
1 Harvester module. (for clearing trees and rocks from the work area)
4 Harvest cargo boxes. (140 slots)
2 Mobile constructors.

(Defensive equipment)
2 Minigun turrets
2 Plasma turrets
1 Ammo box.

(Life support equipment)
2 Fridges.
1 O2 station.
9 O2 tanks.

(Crew comfort equipment)
4 Passenger seats.
1 Pilot seat.
5 Cargo boxes. (175 slots)

(Power Plant)
3 Generators.
6 Fuel tanks.

(Flight equipment)
4 Hover Engines. (2x2)
10 Hover boosters.
21 Thrusters (med) (6 Back,7 Front,2 Left. 2 Right, 2 Up, 2 Down)
24 RCSs

All of this adds up to an industry leading mining vehicle.

With the technical jargon out of the way, lets go over the IB37's operation.

Gather your crew and prepare by stocking your ship with fuel, O2, ammo, and food.

1. Locate an ore deposit or any location begging for a nice big hole.
1a. If you are going into a hostile area or an area of unknown hostility have your crew man the defense turrets
while in transit. Keep in mind, this vehicle is not built for combat but can defend itself from minor threats

2. Set hover height to 3 meters and approach until the drills are above the location.
2a. Use the harvester to clear an area as needed. It works on rocks and trees.

3. Push the nose down and give her some gas and rest the IB37 on her drills. Do not active the drills yet!
You should be vertical or close to it. This is how this ship is intended to operate.

4. Have your crew man the drill turrets. (at a minimum the left and right turret on the front)

5. Set hover height to 1.5 -2 meters. (external view may help you stay vertical for the next step)

6 Engage your drills and let gravity or your thrusters do their work. Do your best to stay as vertical as you can.

7. As you descend, your crew should be using the drill turrets to clean the sidewalls of ore that your drills missed.

8. Coordinate with your crew so you do not decent to quickly and pass up valuable ore that may be hard to reach later.

9. Once you are done gathering your ore, have the crew start converting it into ingots then man the top and bottom mining turrets.

10. Nose the IB37 up until your hover engines engage the sidewall below you. Now reverse thrust your way out. (Hover vehicles can not thrust vertically. So you have to be angled slightly for your reverse thrusters to work as intended)
10a, If there is an outcrop or ridge that your catching on, your crew should be able to smooth it out as needed with the top and bottom drill turrets.

11. Make sure you level yourself out as you exit the hole. Have the crew man the defense turrets as needed.

12. Move on to another area or repeat the process nearby as needed.

This concludes our demonstration of the IB37 and it's function. Thank you.

Please keep in mind that TCB Industries does not take checks or credit. Cash only, please.

(I would appreciate any feedback, good or bad, and any suggestions you may have.
If you like the vehicle and use it, take the time to give it a like here in the workshop.)
