STAR WARS T-47 Airspeeder (Outdated)

Description
The T-47 Airspeeder was originally designed as a low altitude cargo handler. While on the ice world of Hoth, the Rebel Alliance adapted it to deal with the harsh freezing conditions of the planet's atmosphere to which it aptly earned the name, "Snowspeeder".

It sports two main wing cannons and a small rear cannon operated by a rear gunner. It's most famous feature however, was a detachable tow cable that was used in defense of Echo Base in The Battle of Hoth to bring down the AT-AT's of the assaulting Imperial forces.

Besides the X-wing, and despite it's limitations as a low altitude craft, it still became one of the prefered fighters of Rouge Squadron and was utilized througout the Rebel campaign.

Simple, easy, not fantastic by any means, but nonetheless fun. Honestly, this isn't nearly as maneuverable as I would have liked, but I had very limited space to work with and had to cram all the essential componets into the center just to make it functional as it is. To that end, make sure thruster damage is turned off.

Without the ability to use aerodynamic physics, it still flies more or less the way an atmospheric T-47 might (tighter turns require a tighter roll), just don't expect it to turn on a dime. Keep in mind, just like the real deal though, this is an atmospheric vehicle and is not suited for anything else.

Also features a rear gunner for one of your friends (sorry guys no tow cable unfortunatey, maybe one day!)

It has one issue where the thrusters don't power on. You will have to use "9" to toggle "Control Thrusters On/Off"

The snowspeeder/airspeeder has been a long-time childhood favorite of mine and I can't believe that there aren't that many builds for it on SE. Tbh, yours is the first I've seen on here. Thank you for this mod, even if it's outdated, I want to build my own and now I can using yours as a template.

No hard feelings, though.

Might want to make a new version of this mod if you have the time.

BTW I have noticed that Bucket had the same exact problem I had with this crazy thing......:steamsad:

Anyway, it looks great, but handling is a little out of control.

Anyway, you might want to fix that. But I'll have to say, this is just about the strangest experience I have ever had with a Workshop item malfunctioning. But hey, no hard feelings. :steamhappy:

Hey Vollstrecker, it's Epic Tails. I wanted to let you know, your snowspeeder looks
great, but I tested it out in Creative Mode and something disastrous happened.
Like I said, this vehicle looks great on the outside, but as far as handling goes
it's a little out of control. What specifically happened was when I got into it
it started veering sharply to the side into the ground. It was about to crash
into the ground so I had to get out. Then after I got out it continued to veer
towards the ground and then hit the ground with a loud thud, breaking
into three separate pieces. Then I watched in horror as the three pieces
of the structure spun wildly out of control and hovered in midair. I think
these problems are mainly due to the fact this is an outdated mod and
I'm not angry about this, just a little confused, is all. This thing was
literally the snowspeeder from Hell! .

@Vollstrecker even though you don't play Space Engineers anymore do
you still make mods for other Steam games like RPG Maker MV?

I've started redesigning your ship, here's the T-47 graveyard lmao. The one I zoom in on is the one that I've started the new wing design without rotors, trying to keep your aesthetic. I want to get the wings redesigned before reworking the guts.
