Metroliner fix

Description
A simple textfile edit to change the Metroliner's stats and it's multiple unit, so that it matches it's real-life counterpart.

The Metroliner train consisted of self-powered cars, each of which had it's own cab, it's pantograph, and all of it's axles powered. These cars would be coupled into pairs with cabs facing away from each other and these pairs would then be joined to make up the train. It would run in 4, 6 or 8-car sets. Each car had 890 kW of power (760 kW for parlor and snack cars). The trains would have every other pantograph folded down because of current issues at high speeds.
--information taken from Wikipedia

The in-game Metroliner unit consists of one Metroliner car and 3 Westfleet (Amfleet) coaches. In order to get the power and weight matching with a 4-car Metroliner unit, the individual Metroliner car has 3560 kW of power and weights 141 tons. I assume the 340 kN of tractive effort is also what the 4-car train should have in total.

What will this mod change/add ?

Metroliner
- 890 kW power
- 84 kN tractive effort
- 75 tons
- multipleunitonly = false

Metroliner multiple unit
- consists of 2 Metroliner cars, the second one facing backwards

-new-
Metroliner reversed
- counts as a multiple unit
- single Metroliner car, facing backward

All in all a 4-car Metroliner will perform exactly the same as the old one, but it will take slightly less passengers. Because of the reduced capacity, it will also cost slightly less, but the change is negligable. Use the Metroliner multiple unit and couple these together (with the arrows in the depot) to make the trains. You can also buy a single Metroliner car facing either direction.

@Empire Builder I didn't change the 3d model, nor the texture. That seam is on the original model. The Westfleet cars have it too

It seems there is a texture glitch on your screenshot? At the middle section of each car, the texture on both sides doesn't macth

Thanks, but I did not subscribe to this mod because I already have the More Multiple Units mod and it works VERY well and I did more or less already know that each .lua file is one item in the game. I am not extremely familiar with coding BUT I can fix some problems or bugs with some mods sometimes and I am usually one to use something in a way that I will then find a bug with it.

@ ExoticParallel yes, it is unrelated. I can't, nor would I care.

@ ETS2 Nick If you want to fix some redundancy, go into either (one, OR the other) of the mod's files and delete the metroliner.lua files in - res/config/multiple_unit/usa - . They're just text files and they're very easy to understand if you open them. Every .lua file is one item in the [Buy vehicles] tab ingame

I know this is unrelated, but when will somone release a first person mod. Where you can actually walk around?

Is it incrediably dificult to do? I tought it would be the first mod to be made.
I hoe somone like yourself you is framiliar with making mods can answer this question

More Mulitple Units DOES add reversed locomotives as well.

This is a great addition but there is a mod called "More Multiple Units" which adds the ability to make up your own multiple units by being able to individually purchase the locomotives and rolling stock on the ones that ARE NOT permanently coupled together like the Metroliner. You can only purchase longer or shorter versions of the ones that have cars that share a truck (a wheelset). Examples are the TGV and the Pioneer Zephr.
