I'd also be 100% fine if you re-used your base models between levels, just making them taller or deeper. Like make a nice 6 story building, export as level 5 version, then delete one of the floors, bring the roof down, export as level 4 version, delete another floor, export as level 3 version. Specially if you can re-use the same textures, there's that mod that really improves load times and memory use when it detects buildings using the same one.
