EVER LEARN HOW TO PARK A FAST SHIP IN A TIGHT SILO?
You're gonna learn now! Honestly, it takes just a few tries to get it right. Look for reference points to line the ship up (the bottom of the side 'wings' should be level with the red lights on the side of Deimos), and back 'er in. There's not a lot of room for messing up, so try not to scratch the paint!

This escape pod was originally designed for the Watcher-class battlecarrier, the PIF-813 Deimos. You can currently fit 5 of these along the port-bow side, and two more at the stern.

Plenty of leg room to stretch out, 2 passenger seats, and all the essentials needed to survive a limited period of time (fridge, constructor, cargo, ammo, oxygen) once you safely guide this craft away from battle. Constructed entirely of hardened steel.

Can't argue with sound reason. Thanks for the kind words! Wait till you see what I'm working on for the rest of the (SV)s for this ship!

Good man - being open to constructive criticism. That is very cool.

This is the perfect compliment its mothership. Beautiful.

To be honest, I've noticed the same trend as well, but I'm not entirely sure about the reasoning! I don't play the game too much for what it is, I primarily enjoy it for the creative mode (hence the ridiculous ship this pod belongs to).

As for why I personally created an escape pod, I did it simply because I imagine that a large vessel such as the Deimos would probably have some, if the ship were real. That, and I'm a sucker for detail and functionality, so adding an "interactive element" like an escape pod to the main ship gets my creative rocks off.

Very nice looking craft, and the matching SV, as well. If I may ask, I have notice a growing trend for escape pods here on the workshop. What has brought on the sudden popularity of these? Is there some sort of PVP honor code, where the victor does not destroy your escape pod?

Agreed on your point about not being armed. I had actually originally designed it without the guns, and had even re-considered that decision after updating everything. I will take your advice into consideration, and adjust accordingly.

I'm going to start designing the fighters/bombers/interceptors soon, so I'll be sure redirect combat attention appropriately :)

I love that you have the giant red circle with the version number in the BP file image - nice touch.

I was thinking, in addition to the post on the a-symm thread, and in the hopes of offering some constructive criticism; your escape pod should not be armed. It should be as minimalist as possible, otherwise it is more of a swarmer kind of SV - which is SWEET, just not an escape pod. :)
