Description
A challenging singleplayer mission with a focus on polish and realistic jungle combat, slow movement and careful observation is required. Surviving contact involves tactic and thought, not run and gun. In this mission you will return to the Tanoan jungle and disable two Artillery pieces. You decide whether to use stealth, go loud or a combination of both.

Combat has been randomised, so you may traverse the entire jungle and see nobody or you may get engaged five or six times. When you do get engaged it will be by a random number of units. An auto save system ensures that you will not be shot in the back after thirty minutes of trudging through jungle. A variety of weapons are available, you'll have to kill for them though.

Tough but excellent fun mission! I especially enjoyed the stealth infiltration to lay charges next to the artillery tanks. Personally I'd ditch the 9mm in favour of an MX carbine but otherwise excellent mission. Great work!

@FlashPoint thanks for playing and taking the time to give me feedback, I really appreciate it.

That is definitely a mistake that needs to be fixed when I get the chance to find the latest mission files in my archives wherever those are :/

1 of the best stealthy missions I played. but about briefing, as u said that enemy are some militia who cant even repair those guns, so I though I will encounter those syndicates but they were CSAT!
also player starts in north west of the target not north east of it.
good mission though.

Yes I understand that it sucks to use a weaker gun and with a 9mm weapon you actually have to shoot between the body armor. I chose this weapon to really make the mission claustrophobic and tense, however after your first contact you can loot a weapon.

The lookout labelled is not for you, it is for your spotter to go to. You are to proceed to the enemy base, your spotter will go to the lookout. I intentionally made sure that the base was obstructed by fog so that the player couldn't just spawn themselves a .50 cal and go snipe everyone, this was a CQC mission, not a sniper mission.

ALL charges are ground charges in arma, there are no attachable charges so any explosives that I give you will need to be placed on the ground. I scripted the tanks to explode when they are damaged below a threshold which is easily achievable with the charges provided. However there are other means of destroying the tanks on the base, like weapon caches etc should you fail.

Just played through, or at least tried. I enjoy the mission but just don't agree with some of the logistiscs. I agree with others that the weapon should be different. Also, the lookout labled on the map is obsolete, for there is fog that obstructs the view of the plantation. Aslo, had difficulties with blowing up the AA tanks. The charge you are given is a "ground" charge, so it will only detonate if it is on the ground or dropped onto the tank, which was annoying- also, it took about 5 try of detonation to actually disable the tank. And only being given 2 charges, I had to reload the mission several times.
To summarize, a different weapon, deleting the lookout from the map, and different/bigger/more charges. I believe these changes would make this mission 100x better!

Awesome mission! One thing -i changed my loadout from the MP5 to a honey badger with subsonic .300 blkout ammo. The MP5 just doesn't drop those CSAT SF guys in less than about 5 shots.
