Improved Pool

Improved Pool is an attempt to bring better Pool mechanics to Tabletop Simulator. The physical properties of the balls (bounciness, drag, etc...) have been customized to provide a better experience.

If you played other Pool games in TTS you may have noticed that the balls have a tendency of drifting on the table at extremely small speeds, Improved Pool uses a script to prevent this behaviour.

Mechanics

- Asset bundles used for the models, which provide great spherical collision meshes.
- Fine tuned physics settings for a more realistic experience.
- Script that constantly monitors the speed of the balls and forcefully stops them if their speed is too low.
- Pocketed balls are automatically transfered to the bag on the corner of the table. If the white ball is pocketed you can recover it from there.
- Snap points on the table to make the same arrangement as the screenshot.

Credits

Textures used for the balls came from TristanBomb's submission, which he released under public domain. Unfortunately, his models' collision meshes were not great so I had to use the textures on my own models. Thanks to Hiram Abiff, for suggesting these textures.

I wouldn't recommend playing pool on tabletop sim, the physics are not good enough for it. The sound on these balls is pretty bad too.
Other than that this was well put together.

Needs some work on the physics. Also some instructions would help.

I dont understand at all. How do you hit the balls? Right now we can only throw them, which just makes it go in the air which we dont want
