Age of Mytholgy Map Pack 1

A pack of 5 maps from the classic game Age of Mythology (AoM) - 2 "Greek" maps, 2 "Egyptian" maps, and 1 "Norse" map: Archipelago, Team Migration, River Nile, Oasis, and Alfheim. Archipelago and Team Migration have World Wrap enabled. Resources are NOT randomized in any of the maps.

I took a few liberties when making these maps (adding an extra island, less/more trees, etc.) since these maps are randomized in AoM gameplay similarly to the Gods & Kings expansion map, Europe.

Archipelago:
The larger islands have only early-game resources - cattle, iron, and horses along with luxury resources such as gold scattered through them. The smaller islands are packed with the other strategic resources - coal, oil, and uranium.
Hopefully all of the civs spawn on the large islands so the goal is to claim the smaller islands first, but who knows?

Team Migration:
In AoM, each player/team spawns on a different island with few resources and had to move to the larger continent in the center to claim new riches. Of course, there's really no predictability on where each civ spawns, but if you spawn on the central continent then congratulations - you'll have little to no iron or horses until you can sail across the oceans to the smaller islands. All of the desirable late-game resources are in the hills in the middle of the continent.

River Nile:
Settling near the river is key - the shore is made up of flood plains which are very good sources of food, and regular plains for the next few tiles after that, with lots of wheat and other stuff. Past the plains it's mostly desert with some forests and hills - but that's where all of the strategic resources are.

Oasis:
On this desert map, food and wood are scarce except for the forests that grow around the two oases that cover the central areas of the map which are abundant with fish, crabs, pearls, and oil. Necessary resources are spread throughout the map, though.

Alfheim:
The "dark home of the elves" is covered with large forests and mountain ranges. Horses are spread evenly throughout the map while other strategic resources are only found on the numerous hilly areas in the map. Plenty of food sources can be found on this map.

I only chose to make these 5 maps at first since most of the other ones are only complete desert or complete snow, and those are both near useless in Civ. Soon I'll upload a "challenge pack" with the maps Anatolia, Erebus, Ghost Lake, Jotunheim, and Sea of Worms - those maps are for real manly men. I'll also make some maps from the Titans expansion as well.
