Tempo Temporal

Description
UPDATE TO V4:

Fixed a small error stopping epic speed from working.

MOD UPDATE:

New:

Settler and improvement production speeds seem optimal. The goal of this mod was to make it so wars could be reasonably waged before produced military units became obsolete. City production should be a massive undertaking. Worker (unit) production speed should offset any grievances with standard improvement production speed (either marathon or epic depending on choice).

That and improvements won't be consumed by war like military units will be.

Old:

For whatever reason steam won't let me and quite a few other modders comment on their mods, so here's a response to some of the questions in the comments. To change it so the speeds are epic and not marathon, navigate to \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Tempo Temporal (v 2). Open Game Speeds.xml in any text editor, and change the percentages to 150 instead of 100.

Any issues with the mod not working are most likely on Firaxis's end. The mod is compatible with both Gods and Kings and vanilla. Make sure you're starting a new game when using the mod.

Also, follow me on twitter for updates for this, my other, and future mods: https://twitter.com/#!/Vygil

Summary:

In an effort to end the ever raging war on game speed, both research and production wise, I bring you Tempo Temporal, a mod that changes the speed of unit production of Marathon/Epic speeds to that of the Standard speed.

As an example: If you played on Marathon speed, research would be conducted at Marathon speeds, but instead of producing at the Marathon speed of 53 turns, a worker would instead produce at the Standard speed of 18.

Hope you enjoy.

Really nice mod. I am playing with Unoffical patch and Enhanced mod and finding that the computer is worse then usual. At Prince I have around 500p while all others are at 100p. In normal game I'd be happy to double the AI at this stage.

I'll look into it guys, sorry for my slow reply. I've been busy with school lately.

I agree with funnymanbc, improvement takes too long to build......

love the mod just one suggestion. perhaps reducing the worker improvement times? It seems crazy that it takes 500 years to build a farm, mine etc. Maybe reducing them by 33%?

Glad a mod like this got put on steam right away. I had one before on gamespy or w/e they had. This is how I feel marathon really should be played. May have been the same one, I dunno!

Has the new patch helped get things working?

Thanks for your reply, Vigil. Checked the mod file, no files there related to Temporal. Guess it's just some bug of FIraxis.
