Method 1
Hit the Start button and go to GTA online mode and look for the playlists.
Then scroll down to Challenges and look for anything that fetches you more than $250,000 such as the Criminal Records challenge.
Now, select the challenge and hit Yes to confirm the selection and load the mission.

Tip #1: This is one of the easiest of challenges that fetches you $250,000 in just under three minutes and 12 seconds, which is the record time that must be beaten to win the challenge.
The mission puts you in a Land Race across the Grand Senora Desert and will be open to all GTA Online players starting from Rank 1 with support for up to 8 players.

Tip #2: These challenges can be played up to five times and hence you could easily make millions of
GTA$ in no time.
Then ensure that you try to upgrade your super car to the maximum before you begin this race, as it is a time trial that requires you to hit the record top speed and also maintain the highest acceleration possible.

Tip #3: Just maintain the drift across tight corners without braking too much and try accelerating while coming out of the corners, and you will be good to finish all the laps in time. As Dom points out, you could easily make one million dollars in-game cash in ten minutes flat.
Method 2
Complete In-game Missions & Jobs

In-game missions are automatic jobs handed to you solo (or with other players). When you enter GTA Online, Lamar (from the single-player campaign) will help your character get set up. Completing these missions will earn you cash early on and help you purchase some much-needed elements. Be sure to check your phone for texts or calls and answer them. The key here is to stay busy and apply yourself.
Method 3
Steal and Sell Cars

Want to make cash like a criminal? Steal ANY car, then bring it to a Los Santos Customs. Every vehicle has the option to sell from the custom menu. The price highly depends on the type of car and its condition, so make repairs before selling it.
Method 4
Rob Local Stores

For those players looking to make a quick, small score, the best activity is to knock over one of the many convenience stores around Los Santos. While the payouts aren’t big, they provide enough cash for players to pick up some weapons or ammo before heading into a mission or battle with other players.

Simply head to a convenience store and pull a gun on the clerk. He’ll start to clean out the register for you. Pro tip: if you yell at him through your microphone, he’ll actually move faster, allowing for a quicker escape after grabbing the loot. And that part is important, because there is a small drawback to this method of cash-grabbing: the cops will be notified and will come after you.

However, as long as you don’t shoot the clerk when he’s done cleaning out the cash register, you should be able to exit the store with only one star, which is fairly easy to lose. Then you’re ready to hit another store. If you’re a fast enough driver, you could make a few thousand bucks pretty quickly just by going from store to store, stealing from their registers.
Method 5
GTA Online Missions

Once players have finished the tutorial and are able to run around freely in GTA Online, they’ll start to receive phone calls from some of Los Santos’ prime “business men”, such as Simeon Yetarian, Trevor Philips and Lester Crest. These gentlemen will request favors and provide opportunities for players to fulfill various missions for a financial reward.
Method 6
Complete the Five Heists

Grand Theft Auto Online now includes five heists that players can take part in. These pay out considerably more money than a standard job, and require a full team of four players that are all working together and communicating. We’d recommend doing them even if you don’t need the money, but the payouts do help. The list below will give you the payout for each heist, but keep in mind that this has to be split up between you and your crew, so don’t expect to walk away with all the cash for yourself.

  • The Fleeca Job: (Easy) $57,500, (Normal) $115,000, (Hard) $143,750
  • The Prison Break: (Easy) $200,000, (Normal) $400,000, (Hard) $500,000
  • The Humane Labs Raid: (Easy) $270,000, (Normal) $540,000, (Hard) $675, 000
  • Series A Funding: (Easy) $202,000, (Normal) $404,000, (Hard) $505,000
  • The Pacific Standard Job: (Easy) $500,000, (Normal) $1,000,000, (Hard) $1,250,000

As you can see, the rewards get bigger as you up the difficulty, but expect to spend a lot of time on this. It’s also not as much money as you might think. Even completing the Pacific Standard Job on Normal is only going to pay you $250,000 per person if you split the money four ways. To make up for this, there are challenges you can complete to get extra cash, and the first time you complete each heist you’ll get an additional $100,000, meaning doing all five for the first time will get you a $500,000 bonus.
Method 7
$100K Per Hour

You need to create an invite only gaming session. Head to any store and rob it. Punch the clerk in the face, they’ll run off and take all the cash in the register.

Then go to the Start menu and to the card shark store – as if you were going to purchase in-game money for real-world cash.

As soon as the Store/Marketplace loads, exit straight away.

You will spawn back in the same store at the same spot except the world will have refreshed. You can now punch the clerk again, rob the cash register and repeat.

Use this to get loads of cash quickly!
Method 8
$2 Million & 400K RP Per Hour Farming

At Rank 75 you’ll unlock a mission called Rooftop Rumble from a guy named Martin Madrazo (he leads a Mexican narcotic gang in the Los Santos area). What you need to do is basically kill 5 people and it’s done, and the video clip below will show you how to complete it in the most efficient way possible. Using the method shown in the vid it’s possible to earn up to $2 million and 400K RP per hour.

You can also do it if you are a lower level and get invited by someone of course. Just use sticky bombs instead of the grenade launcher and kill any survivors with a rifle.

Method 9
Bounty Hunting

Any player on your radar that has a red dot on them is currently wanted. And if you’re able to take them out, then you’ll earn a bounty reward.

You are able to select who you want killed (ie place a bounty) once you reach level 10 in GTA Online. It’s done via Lester.
Method 10
VIP Missions

When the Executives and Other Criminals DLC was released last December, the all new VIP and bodyguard system introduced new ways of acquiring cash that rivaled heists – when done right.

VIP mission have pretty great payouts across the board, so if you’re not too stingy with efficiency, just get together with some mates as your bodyguards and have at them in whatever order you please. While gaining cash might be the immediate goal here, don’t forget to actually have fun while playing.

If you’re really hurting for some green, however, there is an efficient but somewhat grindy technique which can get you a much better time to reward ratio than heists.

Basically, there are two missions situated near one another that you need to grind. For this method, you’ll do best to give your bodyguards a day off, as going solo will be the fastest approach. The two missions you’ll be alternating between will be “Sightseer” and “Hostile Takeover LSIA”.

Sightseer will take around 5 minutes to finish and pay you GTA $24,000. The most ideal technique here is to opt for a quick and light bike to speed through the mission with.

Hostile Takeover LSIA will be accessible 5 minutes after Sightseer. In that time, hop on over to your nearest garage and pick up an Armored Kuruma. Once the cooldown is over, drive to the airport and start the mission.

This one will reward you with GTA $16,000 and take another five minutes. You really just need to ram through anything that gets between you and the package, race back out and you’re golden.

This method will net you GTA $160,000 per hour in total. Then again, you could omit Hostile Takeover altogether and grind Sightseer for a higher pay-per-hour rate, but that would get very boring very quickly.

On the same page, the whole VIP setup can be beneficial to all involved if done right. As a VIP, you take a cut from any cash acquired by your bodyguards while they’re on the clock, unless it comes from VIP Challenges. These challenges are for bodyguards only and have pretty sweet payouts.

During regular play, your bodyguards will end up diverting a lot of cash into your pockets. You should reward them with plenty of VIP challenges so they too turn a profit during their employment.

but i basically got like 600 million and just made private sessions to mess around in, more fun than treating the game like a full time job

all i did was that vehicle selling glitch

skipped the grind, i wanted to enjoy the game rather than constantly do co-op missions until i can afford a bunker or something

gta online and red dead online are literally both designed as a second money maker for rockstar since buying the games isn't good enough, so they basically just try to grab it right from your pockets, all they are for is either grinding or having shit, nothing else, but it'll cost you real money to have shit quick so you'll be done with it before you ever have that sort of stuff, because you're doing the same missions over and over, gta online isn't about us, it's about how much money rockstar can grab from us by convincing players to buy shark cards
