Description
Welcome to Turanga, an expansion for Shuuro that allows two teams of two players to engage in a dynamic and challenging battle of wits.

‘Turanga’ means ‘harmony’. And harmony – a perfect coordination of intents between the two teammates – is vital to succeed against an equally well-synchronized opposition.

Also, just like in Shuuro, both the board and the armies change every time you play, making every game a new and different puzzle to solve.

How to play

You will find everything you need to know about how to play this four player chess variant on Tabletop Simulator in the Steam guide I put together based on the original manuals for Turanga and Shuuro. You can check it out here:

http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1103714304

Make sure you and your playgroup read this guide entirely. Then, subscribe to this mod, log into TTS, meet with your playgroup, and start duking it out in this interesting 4 player chess variant!

Turanga variants

3 players – It's possible to play Turanga with only three players. All your playgroup has to do is give the least experienced chess player among you the control of two allied armies, while the other two players control one army each of the opposite team. For instance: Player A controls both Red and Blue, while player B controls Yellow, and player C controls Green.

My preferred set of rules – Set up a game of Turanga as normal: Choose your armies, place the plinths and deploy your armies. However, for the fighting phase, I prefer following the set of rules I describe on this 4 Player Chess Mod.

Exceptions: Castling is NOT allowed, and Pawns cannot move 3 spaces initially - only 1 or 2.

Combat dice and terrain tiles – If you want to play with rules that require pieces to engage in combat using dice, and/or terrain tiles that add different special effects to the board, I recommend you check out Loka for Tabletop Simulator here.
