The year is 1931. Prohibition (of Blueberry Juice) is still going strong. What used to be a quaint little mining and logging town has become mired in violence, as two rival gangs fight for control of the Blueberry supply to create- Blueberry Juice! The Police however, are constantly on patrol, looking for Blueberry Juice smugglers!
As a new player to 1931 Bootleg Life RP, you start out with access to one of three basic kits- logger, farmer and miner. This RP Server revolves around 3 forms of currency- Experience, Cash, and Blueberries. Be sure to remain in character while on the Server! Decide on a name for yourself, and stick with it!
In the towns and stores throughout Bootleg, you will find Experience Shop Nodes. By standing on these nodes, you will be able to purchase items in exchange for experience. You will likely spend your first few in game days cutting down trees or mining rocks and earning this currency. Once you can afford a Metal Door and a Metal Sign from the Hardware store, you should go to the nearby vacant houses, and claim one!
Goodness forbid it, but should an accident befall you, you will lose some XP upon death. However, as an insurance policy against accidental death, you can go to the bank, and withdraw cash in exchange for XP from the ATM’s. Cash is used to pay tickets administered from cops, and for player-player bartering. Make sure to keep your cash safe from bandits!
Indigo Berry Juice is outlawed under federal law, possession of it can lead to a fine, or jail time, or both! Nevertheless, it’s addictive qualities have led to massive profits for Bootleggers. It is used as an underground currency, often in exchange for black market weapons and parts, and illegally modified vehicles. In addition, as of the most recent update, Berries can be crafted into Berry Juice!! This is highly illegal to possess, use, and distribute!
Whenever you see a manhole cover in a store, that is an experience store! Trade your XP for Items!
Hardware stores: Here you will find doors, beds, tools, signs, and everything else a civilian would need to lead a happy and legal life
Pizza shop: Cheap food to keep your tummy full!
Downtown Gang Clothing Store: here you will find the nodes for buying clothes associated with the downtown gang! Wearing them is not illegal, but it may make you a target, so beware!
Car Store: The nodes for all legal civilian cars can be found here.
Apartments, houses, etc: Nearby you will find row after row of small one room houses. These are the safest and cheapest options for protecting your cash!
Gun Store: Buy all your legal civilian weapons here! But beware, only pistols are legally allowed to be carried openly! Everything else must be stowed, or you will be ticketed!
Hospital/Pharmacy: The best place for medical supplies, directly across the street from the gun stores!
Uptown Gang Clothing Store: here you will find the nodes for buying clothes associated with the Uptown gang! Wearing them is not illegal, but it may make you a target, so beware!
Small Mechanics Shop: There is a vehicle purchase node here as well
THE LIBRARY: Extremely important location to purchase bookshelves from, an important way to guarantee player-player bartering!
Mayors Office, Where you buy licences!!!
This is a black market, thriving in an old abandoned military airstrip. Anyone found in this area by police will be placed under arrest immediately for trespassing!

In each of the Barns in the North East of the map you will find cheap Tomato seeds, subsidized by the government to avoid temptation to grow blueberries instead. Sometimes Shady characters still stop by Chance’s Farm to buy Fertilizer however…
Once the centre of commerce for this small town, now largely used by private citizens for scrap. With all those surplus explosives, there’s a store near the entrance, but beware, they aren’t cheap, and if found outside of the mine limits with them, players will be heavily fined or jailed!

The Following offences will lead to an instant ban:
KOS- Kill on Sight: Killing another player without reason upon meeting them
RDM- Random Deathmatch: Randomly killing another player without reason or adequate cause, out of RP.
NLR- New Life Rule: upon being killed you cannot go back to your body. Think of it like you wake up in your bed with no memory of the incident.
Metagaming- using outside information to influence the RP. For example, if a police officer gets roadkill, he personally cannot respawn and put out a warrant for the arrest of said killer. Also metagaming is things like watching a players stream for the purposes of finding and killing him.
Hacking/cheating- Using a modified client of the game, ESP, Wallbanging, forceadmin, norecoil, etc etc etc is equal to a report to rocketmod.com, an IP ban, and a possible VAC ban.
