Report a translation problem
Example you write the script this addweapon 1911; and it adds a 1911 with the classname 1911 to that unit.
But if you write the Script this addweapon 1911A1 and the game doesn't contain a 1911A1 model
then the script will say error classname not found or just will not add any gun to the unit. IE Not work.
So if your script calls for a mod with the name 1911A1 without a Flashlight and the game sees a model just named 1911 and with a flashlight on it or just a model with the classname 1911 your script will not fire or well work.
If that helps to clarify what I was asking. Because though it appears your Icon works the mag capacity hasnt changed while running this mod and the damage doesnt appear to have either.
Thats why I said your description is confusing because it says its HUD ICON only but then says your script changes mag capacity and damage as well for the pistol of which you are applying the skin to.
I was just wondering if the script was model of the 1911 Specific in that it would only work on workshop models of the 1911A1 without a flashlight and not just mods named 1911 or mods that were named 1911A1 but had flashlights.
Thats why I was asking if its model specific to the gun A1 model with no flashlight.
Because my 1911 form L4D1 had a flashlight on it and the script doesnt appear to work the rnd capacity is still 15 and there is no damage changes that I can tell with it enabled even after a game restart. Which is why I had the question about A1 model without a flashlight. It makes sense to me that the model with out or even with is cosmetic only and shouldnt matter for a script UNLESS the script is designed so as it reads 1911A1 w/o light and so the model must be a 1911A1 with no flashlight.
While trying to explain one thing, another gets forgotten in confusion. This effectively means that this mod does not change the model as some people expect it to for whatever reason.
But you say its only a HUD Icon and so when I downloaded it I thought it would change the Mag Capacity and power of the default pistol to the matching power and capacity of an actual 1911 and have the new hud Icon but... Its not doing so. I have the L4D1 1911
BUT since its just a script and the Models without flashlights are just textured so that the flashlight on the model is transparent. This mod should in theory still change the ICON and the stats of the default pistols right? Is the script set to apply to Specifally 1911A1 models without a flashlight or can it be any model 1911?
Works like it's supposed to.
