This is the second map I made for my (private) Prop Hunt server. My first map, ph_fountain, had a little bit of experimentation into logic. The barrels and crayons randomly chose their skin at the map start. It added a little variety. I took that concept and ran with it full bore.

This map is procedurally generated, in that, each room will randomly pick it's layout from one of three choices. The doors to each room will randomly choose from one of six layouts (I couldn't do true random, or some rooms would probably be sealed off, which is no fun). There are two 'special' cases, but I'll leave those to be discovered.

I'm not 100% sure how the math works, but, there are 11 rooms, each with 3 layouts, and the doors have 6 layouts. My best guess is that there are 177,147 combinations of rooms possible. Including the doors and the special circumstances, there are 1,417,176 unique combinations.

To be completely honest though, towards the end, I was starting to get confused by the logic, and when everything worked the very first time I final compiled and packed the bsp, I spent an extra hour trying to figure out why. There's too many combinations for me to test everything though, so, if you find something broken, please let me know!

So, I was an idiot, and accidentally deleted the VMF. I already found one thing that's broken, though it isn't game-breaking, so it isn't that big of a deal. Unfortunately, I won't be able to edit this map. So, this is the only version.

This is an INCREDIBLE map considering it was made during the mid 2010 era in the early days of prop hunt, I love the concept of randomised rooms/paths (via the randomly locked doors) on each round.
Truly ahead of its time, surprised I haven't came across any other prop hunt maps that does something like this.

weird take. there isn't ever a spot that you can't get to. it's for the replay-abaility. There are millions of possible combinations to this map. I would hazard that you will literally never play the same combination twice.

Etracting your own map wont be as bad as extracting someone elses. I've updated a couple maps from others and extracted a couple of my own that didn't cause any leaks or problems. I think since it is his own map that he made it shouldn't be a problem if so then he can do what he wants.

Because decompiling isn't a hundred percent accurate. It breaks a lot of things, completely ruins optimization and usually will cause a bunch of leaks to happen

It's mainly used to learn mapping things/tricks you're curious about in a map that uses them

BTW if you subscribe to your map you can find the .gma file in addons under the gmod directory then you can use a tool call gmad to extract the .bsp file then you would want to use bspsource to extract the .vmf file and back to editing you can go.
