PLEASE KEEP DISCUSSIONS AND COMMENT SECTION CLEAR OF ANY CONTROVERSIAL TALKS. USE IT ONLY TO DISCUSS TECHNICAL PART OF THE MOD. IF YOU HAVE SOME SPECIAL IDEA PM ME OR POST IT IN MY PROFILE. THIS MOD MAY BE TAKEN DOWN IF ANY CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS WILL ARISE IN DISCUSSIONS OR COMMENTS. THANK YOU!

Mod is simple though makes game much more enjoyable.

Now you have more control over you prisoners. Ever wondered why you must release them after torture? Why they are allowed just to walk away after public humiliation?

Nah, that won't work anymore.

Prisoners stay locked up until YOU decide it is time to let them go. Want to disfigure someone's pretty face, torutre them for fun and then publicly humiliate for no reason in a row? Heh, now it is not a problem. Prisoner will rot down in your cells as long as YOU want it.

As a bonus, now every ruler in a world adapted byzantine's teachings how to deal with traitors and undesirable elements: you can blind and castrate your prisoners no matter what culture they or you are.

Have fun and bathe in blood.

Disclaimer: there are similar mods on the workshop, though they do not touch inprisonment mechanic, meaning that prisoner will be released after "procedures".

Feel free to check my other mod "Battle prisoners" to always have some toys in your dungeon to play with.

Update 27.08.2016.

Updated with 2 new decisions:
- Poison prisoner. If you don't want to wait for peace treaty to end, unable to execute your vassal withour heir because everyone already hates you for being bloody tyrant? Try less... direct approach. Secretly deliver poison to your prisoner and set him free. Don't worry, he will be dead before you know it and won't interfere with your ambitions again. This option requires specific traits - either scholar, deceitful, elusive shadow, gardener, mystic or impaler.

- Force yourself upon a female prisoner. What it says. Opinion penalty, chance of pregnancy. Charachter will lose 75 piety, gain cruel, impaler and lustful trait. Kind, eunuch, celiabate or chaste characters won't do it.

In addition piety penalties for original decisions have been greatly reduced since it is medieval times, c'mon. Pope ain't a Hague Tribunal.

Update 02.09.2016
- Initiate religious purge. If you have infidels in your realm and grew tired of their company - dispatch loyal knights across your lands to catch any heretic living within your domain. Professional warriors and generous bribes will ensure that your reputation isn't ruined and that every infidel filth will end up in your dungeons.

Update 05.09.2016
- Initiate mass execution. So, you have every heretic locked up in your dungeon, now what? Kill them with fire! Or impale them... hang, behead, boil or hunt down for fun! Execute every infidel inside your dungeons in a way YOU desire at a moment's notice!
For usual rulers executions available: Burning, boiling, beheading, hanging, hunting, breaking.
For norse and finnish pagans (I play as finnish pagans that's why): snake pit and blood eagle.
For impalers: Well, you know it.
May add more later.

Update 07.09.2016
- Changed AI rules for using purge and execution.

Update 13.03.2017
- Updated for latest expansion.

Update 09.04.2018
- Fixed some decisions.
- NEW LAW GROUP ADDED: Control new decisions. Only available to absolute rulers (abolished council power),
- NEW DECISIONS: In addition to religious purge you can now conduct racial purges as well. New ways to control your vassals - publicly execute high-ranking vassals (dukes and higher) and prevent others from acting against you! In order to keep you dungeon cells full, carry out planned arrests. New fear mechanic - pretty simplistic, but effective. If you get too ethusiastic with painting your dungeons with vassals' blood be ready to face their wrath.
- NEW WARTIME DECISIONS: Sack or raze to the ground enemy settlements, turning prosperous lands into a barren wasteland. Execute captives after battles or ransom them back to their liege.
- A BUNCH OF NEW NICKNAMES: Come down in history as a stern and merciless ruler, be named after dread sea monster or legendary Attila, the Scourge of God.
- ALSO, I have decided to add one more controversial decision. Do not use it if you feel offended by it.

Update 11.04.2018
- Fixed small bug with laws
- Added military advisor decisions to control battle captives and settlement razes events.

Update 03.01.2019
- Fixed small bug with events.

Update 09.01.2019
- Removed one controversial decision.

Update 26.03.2020
- Added game rules to prvent AI rulers from conducting any mass purges or executions.
- Players without Conclave dlc now can use new laws without trouble.
- Added 2 new decisions. Tired of signing pardons for that brilliant chinese architect who gets arersted after every purge? Don't waste that precious ink - just grant them political immunity. Bestow your protection and they will be totally ignored, no matter what purges or witch hunts are going on in your realm. If you get tired of them, though, just retract your favor - sooner or later they will end up in your dungeons.

Update 27.03.2020
-Fixed bug when purges never showed up in decision menu.
-New decision added. Since you are their liege, their better, it is a natural order of things to be the one who decides what to do with your vassals' lands and titles. They are only servants, after all... With the harsh grasp now you can freely claim any county within your realm. You will get a strong claim (and therefore, an option to revoke this title without objections from other vassals) at the expense of prestige and piety, as well as risking to provoke your vassals' rage.

@Apollo the Lost You have to actually copy-paste the mods files into the overhaul mod itself. It could cause bugs, however, so do so at your own risk and back up files if you need to.
