Description
This small, automatic railgun has a low rate of fire, but a good muzzle velocity and penetration.
It was invented to give infantry their role again on a battlefield, wich is characterised by the open fields of new worlds, drones and vehicles, where weapons for close-quaters combat become useless.




At the moment the barrel is moving through the legs when moving, I'm still searching a way to fix this.

Feedback for balancing would be nice.

I dont think it should have to much damage.One hitting a heavy armor block would be a little much.

As to damage, I don't have a clear picture. Maybe one-hit heavy armor blocks? Idk what happens if a bullet has damage left after destroying a block. Would slowing ROF nerf it sufficiently for that amount of damage?

As for the rest, well I wasn't gonna comment on the model :P But I am glad to hear you're playing with sounds.

And again, thanks for making this gun! I'm getting fed up with vanilla weapons and unbalanced mods.

damage:
It can one-hit small light armour blocks, would be op if you could take out a drone/small ship that takes a lot more time to build at ease.

costs:
I guess less bottles and more superconducter would be realistic, so i will change this.

animations:
The gun is too long to place the hand under the barrel without looking unhealthy, but blocking the scope is a problem i will solve.

sounds:
This was my second mod and the first one with a own model, so it was kind of a test and i used the vanilla sounds. I already started to redo the whole model/textures/sound.

It's a nice weapon (especially with cheap ammunition) but IMHO it needs more work.
* It doesn't do much damage. It does 4 times as much as a vanilla rifle, but it fires slower. I suggest boosting its damage and slowing its ROF to make it a sniper / anti-material rifle.
* It needs a more threatening sound. I don't know much about modding, but I think this can be improved.
* The engineer's left hand obscures the gunsight when aiming while crouching or moving. I don't know how much control you have over poses. Shouldn't he have his left hand under the barrel, anyway, to steady the gun?
* Using oxygen bottles is expensive and unintuitive; cooling makes sense, but these are 6 120L bottles. I would suggest using superconductors instead, for acceleration coils.

Even as it is, I think it's a great weapon:
* It's accurate! I am so frustrated with the SE "precise" rifle not hitting my target.
* It has cheap ammunition, since it's a railgun and doesn't need magnesium.

This mod no longer works for some reason. It won't work for me because it was "made during the development version" as my computer claims and thus could cause problems to my computer.
