NOTE: This map is part of a series of "[Event Maps]"

Purpose:
This map may serve large servers (60+ players) with minimal FPS lag.
This is a map specifically designed to be used for events.
It shall allow players of each combat type and purpose an opportunity to fullfill their roles.

Builders: Ample space to build
Main Attack Force: Large open areas, Close quarter areas
Pilots: Open space to combat enemies and transport troops.
Snipers & Recon: large open areas, long hallways, large rooms, and a second floor
Roleplayers: Immerse yourself in a Simulation-themed environment that is as complex as the event host decides.

Recommended Player Count:
- Any, including 60+ Players

Theme:
Sci-Fi Simulation (eg. StarwarsRP)

Map Size:
Very Large

- Counter-strike Source

Notable Features:

- *Supports large servers (60+ players): Optimization, Player spawns, and a large map with a variety of rooms

- Small rooms for close quarters combat
- Large rooms & halls for snipers and large objects (eg. Forcefield Generators, Reactors)
- Multiple large waiting areas: Allows players a chance to roam and train rather than play line simulator!
- Large platform shows spawn areas
- Modular Setup
- Large Open Map areas for pilots and large events!


*Note: I have done what I can do while keeping the "Open Area" for pilots and large events still open. Open areas & terrain will always cause FPS drop, as will the amount of props & npcs that players have to register.

Author's Note:
- This is my first map creation.

- I have a lot of experience building, working with Wiremod, and hosting events / simulations for very large StarwarsRP servers. As such, I understand how hard it can be to find a "good" map to play on that won't lag players and will still be decent.

- For that reason, I will be creating a series of "[Event Maps]" for everyone to enjoy.

- Simulation themed, Low visibility (less lighting) Done
- Simulation themed, Normal visibility Done
- Textured Sci-Fi Fortress themed, Low visibility
- Textured Sci-Fi Fortress themed, Normal visibility Done

Yes, it was designed to have significantly improved performance over standard maps.

The open areas will always use a lot of resources, but I compensated for this by closing off the open area from the main facility, keeping the resource intensity low, and allowing for the best FPS I can provide.

Haha you got it. It's made to be modular and versatile, so you can use it for just about whatever you need. There is a textured version of this which adds realism and terrain

wow so this is just used for like training in different scinarios like CQC mid range and long range combat/engagements thats fucking awesome!

AI nodes have been added to the textured versions as of this moment.

Correct. I will not place ai nodes in the Sim versions since they are so simplistic the ai don't have too much to calculate, hide behind, etc. and I don't want them opening all the doors up in an event.

When I release the textured versions and later update them to have preset objects, such as rocks and debris, then I may add ai nodes to help smooth things out during events and keep things immersive.
