Phase Shift Module

Description
The Phase Shift Module lets you desync from the mundane world and enter a ghost-like state of intangibility. Fly through walls, floors, and enemies for a leg up in battle, or for environmentally friendly cave exploration and high-altitude construction.

This prevents energy regeneration and drains energy if you have a weapon out, so it's a powerful combat tool but not god-mode. The tech will not let you phase through walls and doors in protected areas, but you can still fly and be untouchable.

Elliot at the Outpost will need some Phase Matter to finish his research; it drops from ghostly monsters across the galaxy, like Nautileeches and Spookits. Comes in both Head and Body slot variants.

wearing both the head and body tech makes it so you can only move vertically or horizontally through blocks and only when lined up properly

i completed the quest to obtain the phase shift tech and then the rest of the quests never happened
was i supposed to like
not install this before getting the other techs??

Bug: Flying into a structure i couldn't phase through whilst inside the ground canceled the flying and noclip, but left me intangible and unable to be damaged. it also disabled my techs while in this state. exiting the save and going back in reset it.
I had to mine out to get out.

The head-tech/sphere-replacement version of this does not work for me. Currently trying to debug if it's a mod-conflict issue. The body/sprint-replacement version works fine, though outside of some niche situations, such as building large/high bases, or getting to specific locations, I tend to prefer vanilla sprint. It is also a bit overpowered, but that could be seen as sort of the point of it. Could be improved for me if it used energy somehow, I suppose. I would use this more if it were a functional replacement for head, or more preferably leg tech.
