Description
Dynamic Recon Ops is a randomised, replayable scenario that generates an enemy occupied AO with a selection of tasks to complete within. Select your AO location, the factions you want to use and any supports available or leave them all randomised and see what mission you are sent on.



Designed to be simple to use but with plenty of options to customise your mission setup, the objective behind DRO is to create a way to quickly get playing a new scenario in singleplayer or co-op. With as few changes to the base game as possible, DRO aims to showcase the unique and varied gameplay that Arma 3 has to offer for smaller scale infantry combat.
Additionally, DRO has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of faction mods. If you have any mods that create new factions they will be selectable as player or enemy sides within the mission. However, the scenario itself requires no mods apart from specific terrains if you want to use them.

I cannot see my objective amounts and I have no clue what the maximum amount is... so when I try to start an op I get almost 30 objectives

Great updates to all the maps for DRO. :)

Noticed tonight, though, that the civilians are really heavily infested with people that hate freedom. I'd say at least a third, maybe half of the civilians we encountered drew a weapon. We hadn't killed any civilians. (we did end up killing one in each of the missions we played - once on Lingor and once on Chernarus - by the time they were finished.)

I appreciate the mission-ending result if too many civilians are killed... it keeps people who would otherwise just pull up their thermal scope and shoot everything that glows from doing that. :)

I also liked the surprise mission at the end... we had carefully coordinated clearing up some intel and were on our way to do a coordinated theft of two vehicles at the same time and drive off into the sunset... when we got out of the AO, we got the call to go back to take out a Pandur that had just entered the area. Unexpected, but great fun.

These missions are great (with several maps to choose from) :) Thanks for all the work on them.

Wondering, though, why client-side-only addons aren't working. For instance, I use TAW Viewdistance... and it doesn't even look like it's loaded. We also use a mod I made that gives access to arsenal saved loadouts... it works *before* all players have clicked Ready, but as soon as the mission actually starts, it's gone. We also have a scripted medical element (we run ACE) that I wrote but I can't get it to cooperate - I need to add something to description.ext and to initPlayerLocal.sqf for it. It appears on the ACE menu, but it's like the script (precompiled in description.ext) isn't there.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this, @mbrdmn? I'm happy fiddling with script files or the mission in the editor if you just want to point me in the right direction

when i start up this mission on some maps the menu to change the mission position or what the wheather or time of day it is is not showing up and nothing happends HOW TO FIX!!!

i really love this. I just had a question with stealing the car missions. Does the task get ticked once you identify the car and a new task pops out to tell you how to get out of the AO?

I really enjoy the Dynamic Recon Ops missions. Splendid work! As mentioned by other people, is there any chance of a Dingor version? Some people are still playing on sub-par rigs.. :-)

If not, how complicated would it be to port the Lingor version to Dingor? Does the mission rely on any island-specific object ID's?

how do you unstick AI...will it work if AI is in vic trapped on a tree or hill
