Description
Replaces random breakdowns with a maintenance requirement.

Buildings using components will now gradually deteriorate. The odds of a breakdown happening (and requiring replacement components), is directly linked to the amount of deterioration.

To keep your machinery in top shape, your colonists with the construction work enabled will periodically maintain components. As long as components are properly maintained, they cannot randomly break down.

I'm very interested in any feedback on how these changes affect the difficulty of the game. I've tried to balance it so that it's not too hard/easy - but I'm just one person with one playstyle.

The prospect of waking up to see my country at war is alien to me, as it must have seemed to most Ukrainians. I can do little to influence the outcome of current affairs, but I will do whatever I can.

Leaders around the world are deciding on how to respond to Putins' aggression. They are balancing their conscience, and their desire to be re-elected. Many are afraid to impose heavy sanctions because the economic repercussions might loose them votes. The Dutch government, my government, has hinted that they are unwilling to accept Ukranian refugees, and has played a part in allowing Russia to have continued access to international finance. I am ashamed of these actions, taken in my name.

Whereever your live, please let your government know you care more about supporting the people of Ukraine than you do about the price of gas. Join a protest, write letters, call your representatives, and show them that you care about justice!

On 1.5 one of my pawns just RAPIDLY cycles between "Standing" and "Maintaining Battery".
Have to disable for now.

RimPy only checks the flag in the mod itself, not for actual errors.
It's throwing errors in RimPy, so it needs updating.

Is there a reason why this mod's multiplier would've stopped working in the past 2-3 months? Maybe from incompatibility with other core mod updates?

I have the component lifetime set to max electronics so never below 99% condition. But I started a new game the other day and after less than 30 in-game days, some of my electronics (like batteries) are already down to 75% condition. For comparison, my game from 2-3 months had batteries at 99% after playing for a long time.

@roko711 A trick with Construction priority, Use mods like "Better Pawn Control," or ones that can forbid a Pawn from doing Artisian work (aka Quality work).

A pawn not allowed to do Quality checking work that is set to Prioritizing Construction will build simple things, and MAINTAIN first. When you have enough of these guys, your other builders will have less work to do in Maintaining.
--note, if you still having trouble building because they are all maintaining, then you likely dont have enough Construction Pawns to maintain your colony. (too much work not enough labor)
