Description
Removes the (arbitrary) limit to the number of areas you can create, change area colours.

While this completely removes the limit on the number of areas you can create, the area selection widget in other parts of the UI is untouched - and designed for 5 areas per type. If you create too many areas, you may run into issues. This practical limit depends largely on your resolution and UI size factor. I have no plans to update these UI issues, nor could I do so for all the mods that use areas.

  • reordering areas is currently broken (2024-03-15, 1.5)

Normally, this is where I ask you to show you appreciation by buying me a coffee.

These are not normal times. Ukraine is being invaded by Russia, at the whim of a ruthless dictator. Innocent people are loosing their lives, and fighting for their continued freedom.

This is not a matter of politics. This is not a debate. Putins' bloody campaign in Ukraine is illegal, and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants, when he wants it, no matter the cost. The Russian army is invading a country without provocation, bombing civilians and murdering innocents.

The prospect of waking up to see my country at war is alien to me, as it must have seemed to most Ukrainians. I can do little to influence the outcome of current affairs, but I will do whatever I can.

I ask you to join me in supporting the people of Ukraine

If you can, donate to the various charities providing humanitarian aid.

You can also help out in other ways, from reaching out to your elected representatives to helping fact-check social media.

If you don't know where to donate, or how to start helping, Global Citizen maintains a list of charitable organizations active in the region and other ways in which you can help.

@Rhaevan This isn't the place for politics. Not everyone feels as you do even if it is felt that you are in the clear moral right. Many people don't want to think about the real world or have direct ties to the holy land. There has always been bias's of the region and issues of war, keep it out of gaming for the sake of everyone that is impacted by it.

I've had an issue with this, there seems to be no "expand" or "shrink" options in the area tab when I use it, thus making area's much harder to set up and use. Any reason why this might be the case? Unsure if its an incompatibility with UINotIncluded or something.

@all : Oh, and I want to point out that the little time I have for RimWorld I am spending on updating mods. Testing is usually limited to making sure there are no errors, and testing the functionality on a small test colony. I don't have time to do playtests with mature colonies, so it's very likely I'll miss subtle bugs, or changes made with the 1.5 update and Anomaly expansion.

I rely on you folks to let me know if something's wrong. So, if when you notice anything that's not working, missing, or should work differently with the new updates, please do let me know!

@all: 1.5 update is live, it should work and fix most of the issues reported for 1.4, particularly any issues around the colour picker window (it's a separate module, which I apparently forgot to update the previous time around... Sorry!).

I will take a closer look at why reordering isn't working anymore in the future, but I hope you can understand that with other mods to update, this isn't a priority for me right now.

@LoopKat: thanks for the feedback :)

@Catalyst888: if the issue is areas not showing up in other interfaces, that's unlikely to be related to this mod. Literally all this mod does is make a single function "CheckNewAreaAllowed" always return true. The stuff with recolouring is just visual, and reordering hasn't worked in a while to begin with, so can't have any effect :D.

Can we have a update please ? still can't reorder the area in the list and the confirmation button for changing color is still gone..

Also, do you think you could add the color picker to the stock piles too please ? there is already a mod doing this, "ReColor Stockpile & Growing Zones" but not a lot of people know it exist, and the color picker is pretty ugly and unintuitive, BUT it have the ability to save custom color presets, which is soooooo useful
