the staircase in the first room is a way to use the laser to kill that first sentry by using the portals
From observing other map makers over a few years, this sort of difficulty tends to grow a small cult following if you maintain the design quality in future maps. It's more difficult than the sorts of maps that get really popular, but less difficult than the really intricate map makers like Azorae or Mevious. I hope you attract a following - it saddens me when I see people puts lots of effort into making great maps that nobody plays.
maybe u like it more now
by the way to rate the map
so more people can try out this map?
1. Killing the turrets in the first room was more enjoyable the first time around when I didn't think of using the laser .
2. You've used elements in creative ways, so it takes a while to work out why they're there. If you design like this, I suggest avoiding unnecessary elements and red herrings. The laser in the second room seems to be totally useless, as does the hinged panel in front of it.
3. Killing the second lot of turrets is also fun, again, it's more fun without the lasers . I don't ever like surpise hidden turrets in Portal, and it's easy to get caught in the swinging panel mechanism.
4. The rooms at the top of the funnel were confusing. The cube seems to be unnecessary. Leaping off the bridge into the exit was the only way I could work out how to solve this .
All in all, it was enjoyable. Thank you for making it.
by the way the first 3 turret should be really easy to kill if you put out the orange portal at the stairs
2. After 20 minutes of play, this map seems to be "hard" due to super tight timings on buttons and things. Hard puzzles are fantastic. Hard platform games are meh, that's why I play Portal. After killing the two easily killable turrets, the only way forward is to work out how to do things with millisecond-tight timings. Meh. You've put some effort into this, and I'm sure you'll find players who like this sort of thing, but if you want players to solve the puzzle you've created, you're going to need to make the turrets less lethal, and the timings much longer.
