Description
[Requires "Brave New World" DLC]

New civilization "Centaur Bandits" for fantasy-themed maps. The Centaur Chief as their leader. This is a plunder based civ.


Special Traits:

- Relentless Charge: Receive double Gold from Barbarian encampments and pillaging Cities. Melee units pay no movement point cost to pillage and pay just 1 movement point to move from sea to land.

Special Units:

- Centaur Warrior: Strong Mounted Unit specialized in defeating enemy mounted units. This unit is faster and more powerful than the Lancer, which it replaces. Forces defenders to retreat when it inflicts more damage than it receives. Does not require horses.

- Bowman Rider: Replacing the Knight. Strong ranged attack and increased movement rate. Acquires promotions at double the rate and contributes twice the amount of points towards earning Great Generals.

Special Building:

- Centaur Camp: Unique Bandit Stable replacement. +15% Production and +15 XP for Mounted Units. Each Pasture worked by this City produces +1 Production and +1 Gold.

Play note: Confirm that Camp does not give the extra 15XP to mounted units. As the mounted special units for Centaurs are excellent, this should be corrected for full Centaur benefits.

It doesn't seem that the Centaur Camp is granting +15XP. I created both mounted units (like and Centaur Warrior) and non-mounted units in several cities with a Barracks, an Armory and a Centaur Camp and always got 30 xp, regardless of the type of unit. I started a quick game as Poland to see if something in my other mods might be screwing things up, but cities with Barracks, Armory and Ducal Stables gave 45 xp for mounted units and 30 for non-mounted.

Just thought you should know.

I have all the other mods in this set DL'd but this one doesn't/won't show up on my mod screen regardless of how many times I un/resubscribe. Is direct DL necessary?

Sounds more like Poland than Denmark since the centaur warrior and centaur camp are copied from the winged hussar and ducal stable.

Great mods! Maybe some inspiration for custom civs:

- Ents (Tree like creatures)
- The Underground dwellers( With creatures like harpies/minotaurs?
