Description
My first attempt at a proper puzzle. Please comment, I would love to know what you think of this level, was it challenging enough? There are definately different orders in which to solve the chamber, but it should all amount to the same overall solution, did you find another way to complete it that I overlooked? Also, how good do you think it looks? What was good, and what can I improve on both in this chamber and future chambers? Thank you for your feedback, I hope it will help me make better chambers for people to enjoy.

The faithplate and the timed button are not required to get the cube since you can simply funnel yourself from the wall. Other than that, it was a bit linear. Thanks for making

hey man thanks for your comments, I too like puzzles to be little more straight forward, there's a place for real challenges sure, but I aim to make my puzzles more like valve's campaigns, where they take a bit of figuring out, using lighting etc to guide the player, and simple execution to give that aha moment, along with some kind of reward, (you might notice I like mass destruction of turrets, they are more of an implied threat that are fun to watch fly around more than a real obstacle)

manages to be a rather easy map but without being boring because of it. as fun as a good challenge is, it's nice to have a relaxing map sometimes too and it's always good to get a reminder that a braintwisting challenge isn't the only kind of fun the game offers

thaaaaaaaaaank yoooooooooouuuuuuu ^^ I go over everthing with a fine tooth comb, and though I may miss some things, I like to think I stamp out most problems such as the things you mentioned, being too big, need of l33t skill (I think the fizzler on the button fling is a great example of this.) I agree about the funnel seeming like it needs a puzzle, but it is simply there so that it isnt on from the start and you can get up instantly, you need to get up there and activate it first, then you can come back and forth as you please. I will try and get a look at your maps later in the week, have college to do during so yeah. Thanks for the feedback, I hope you stick with my maps in future you've made my day lol =D

Well done! I always have a notepad next to me when I'm playing custom maps, so I can take notes on things that didn't work and give feedback to the creator. My notepad is blank!

Everything was pretty elegantly placed. The normal snags didn't apply with your puzzle (e.g. level is bigger than it needs to be, unnecessarily deadly situations, requirement of unusually quick reactions, etc.).

Really, the only thing I can say is to make turning on the excursion beam a puzzle in itself (instead of just flicking the switch), but even then, it might make things too complex. I like to create puzzles with the mindset of "less is more," and I feel you've achieved this.

Didn't get stuck once, and in most cases, that's how I like it. Sorry I can't give more critique, I usually try to lend some insight! :)

that is almost exactly the intended solution, apart from the cube on the wall button is supposed to funnel accross the water, then up at the end, then back towards the button, i was aware of the cube throwing solution but couldn't think of much to do about it. also, the platform in the water used in the intended solution, it is possible to portal over there before you activate the funnel/panel... I think it's possible to get stuck over there... but oh well i figuered most people wouldnt manage it, and at least not a second time lol. thank you for your feedback, I hope to make more decent maps soon =]
