Smart Overwatch

Description
Allows Xcom to direct their overwatches into specific zones. NOT UPDATED FOR WOTC. FEEL FREE TO TAKE CODE AND PUBLISH YOUR OWN!
Offers a more tactical and immersive version of the current overwatch ability. Great for advanced players or repeat playthroughs.

  • Cones dynamically adjust to weapon types being used. Snipers have long and skinny cones, shotguns have short and wide cones, etc.

  • Default cone sizes are just my own interpretation. You can adjust them by weapon type in the mod's folder (714941290) > Config > XComGameCore.ini.

  • You can also adjust aim bonus for using smart overwatch in the mod's folder. Default setting is 0 bonus. (714941290) > Config > XComGameCore.ini.

  • Works with Overwatch All/Others Mod.
  • Works with both new and current playthroughs. Can be added and removed freely.
  • Works with all current overwatch perks (covering fire, longwatch, guardian, etc.)
  • Adds “Smart Overwatch” IN ADDITION to the normal overwatch. Will add ability to disable regular overwatch in future update, for advanced tactical play.

    -------------------------------------------------Minor Update---------------------------------------------------

    Accuracy modifiers are now available in XComGameCore.ini

    The default accuracy bonus is 0. You can change it to whatever you like:

    +OverwatchAimBonus = 0

    +OverwatchAimBonus = 5

    +OverwatchAimBonus = -5

    etc.

It does not, but i am porting this to WOTC in the mod WOTC Tactical options, it will be there in the next update

@Rob: Inbalanced in which way? If anything, it's only a buff for XCom, because you still have regular overwatch too...

it's cool but the fact that the enemies do not have to do makes it a bit unbalanced.

So I bought the DLC just now and fuck me are there many in my opinion essential mods, like this one that for whatever reason has not been updated. To me that's somewhat bizarre.
