Update:

Hey I’ve written a science fiction novel called "Janitors of the Late Space Age" inspired by Space Engineers. Summer is here, if you are looking for something to read - get it from Amazon as electronic or paperback edition, it’s cheap:

DEPLOY THE PROBES!
------------------------

Microbot Space Probe brings you the next level of miniaturization. With only one thruster this utility robot can self-deploy at the brink of your antenna range and expand the area you control.

Intended use:
- Expand your detection range and antenna relay for other robots and drones
- Look for distant asteroids and enemies

Space is huge, so cheap and expendable robots like this Microbot are the best way to explore it. They require no guidance, just fire them in diferent directions around your base and you will have an early warning system.

A unique feature of this probe is that it manages to reach its destination and STOP using only one thruster! The probe does this automaticaly at exactly 4.7 km, perfectly expanding your existing small ship 5 km antenna range. Usually you would need at least six thrusters to make any sort of craft, but with this blueprint you can be at six different places for that amount of valuable platinum ore.

You can remotely access the probe when it deploys and use the zoom on the camera to spot even small ships at 5 km or further, beyond the antenna detection range.

How to control it:
Foolish human, you will never control the robots! The probe deploys itself – just access it via reactor or antenna and START the timer. After this TURN ON the thruster and leave it alone. Seriously, no need to guide it, you will only mess it up if you use the remote during the deployment.

When it deploys, access it remotely via antenna and use the remote. Turn off the gyro spinning and use the camera on board to survey your surroundings.

----------------------------

Advanced use:
You can edit the timer block thus adjusting the distance it travels. As a default, the probe will get to 4.7 km. Once it deploys, consider it as a static mini-station. You will need to understand how it works if you want to relocate it or fly it around, but it's possible. You can use the remote BEFORE starting the deployment procedure to "aim" the probe at specific area.

Amazingly, no scripts or mods were used in this build. Check out other robots in the collection: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=702882010

It's the Cuttlefish ( http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=715303909 ), non-infected version. Same functions, but without the "xeno" blocks.

Two solutions - add some "support blocks" that connect everything before replacing the reactor. It is possitioned as is because of the aesthetics. Second solution is: you can access the reactor, just carefuly approach it and move left and right. You should be able to find an angle where you can refuel it.

I've removed and then replaced the timer and followed the set instructions, but it went past 5km. Can you tell me what I may have done wrong?

I need some help... how do I easily access the reactor to give it Uranium? I've tried but I can't do it without breaking the timer...

I just got in the game and tested it again, concerned that any bugfixes or updates could have messed it up - but it works fine like the first time so whatever issue you have - it's not blueprint related. I am sorry I cannot be of more help.

@Orange Slime / That's what it does. It deploys at 4.7km and provides you with a remote camera and expands your antenna range, nothing else.
