Surfliner Tr. 564, Pt. 1 [GWD330]

The growing popularity of Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner services requires Amtrak to often supplement the route's dedicated equipment with standard Superliner equipment and GE Dash 8-32BWH diesels. Such is the case on this Southern California morning as Surfliner Train 564 prepares to depart Los Angeles, bound for San Diego, with a veteran GE Dash 8 as power. Your scheduled departure time from LAUPT is 7:25 am. This is the first of a multi-part scenario covering the run of Train 564 and is largely based upon its actual schedule.

Scenario duration: Approximately 60 minutes.

Requirements: This scenario requires the Pacific Surfliner route, the Amtrak Dash 8-32BWH DLC, the Los Angeles Commuter Rail F59PH DLC, and the Marias Pass route (for BNSF freight equipment).
