Vigil Light Frigate (Stock)

The Vigil is the standard patrol and defense craft of the Pilgrim Tribal Union. They offer little comfort, especially since living space is rare in the Pilgrim fleet, and it is not uncommon for the crew to sleep on the hard metal floor at night. Sometimes, a single of these ships holds up to a dozen people, and sometimes even children!
The ship is, different from most other ships of equal size, equipped with a small hangar bay for shuttles, fighters or utility craft. Such a ship would need to dock to the outside connector for fuel and supply transfer though. It is unknown who designed and built the first Vigil class, but it is known some of these vessels have been serving since a stunning 80 years, and are still relatively operational and used in active service.
The Vigil's armor and armament are light, and it is best used in conjunction with other frigates as a wing or with larger allies. Weapons include six side-mounted Gatling Turrets aswell as two Rocket Launchers. The Vigil is also highly maneuverable if it activates its additional Hydrogen propulsion system, and is a surprisingly capable enemy, as Pilgrim Pilots are said to be the very best, reckless flyers the solar system has seen.
The Ship is unique as it is equipped with two separate propulsion systems: An Ion unit for standard travel, which is fed by a small reactor, bateries and solar panels to maximize efficiency, and a forward and backward Hydrogen unit that is used to increase the ship's speed during combat maneuvers.
