Description
Curiosity rover is here! Everything you need to rekindle an era of Mars exploration.

---------------

During the survey of the Kovalsky crater our Microbot probe discovered the body of a powered down, long forgotten explorer robot - the famous Curiosity Rover, thought to be lost to the Mars super storm of 2020.

It suffered surprisingly little damage and with a new uranium ingot in its reactor proved to be fully functional.

In space, you cannot afford to waste resources. Realizing the potential of this durable and proven chassis, it was made available as a blueprint for all future Mars explorers.

---------------

It features an antenna, an ore detector, an automated sensor system linked with a beacon, and a zooming camera mounted on a rotating head that can be raised to provide a better view of the terrain.

Even though new, modern, rolling robots have made Mars their home - Space Engineers know when they see a good design. Curiosity chassis surprised even its makers. Nothing could stop this little robot so the original mission was prolonged from two years to "indefinitely" until the Mars Super Storm of 2020 caused it to slide into a deep crater and all contact was lost.

Now, recovered and equipped with the new stability system it found its use as a directly controlled robot - able to create GPS coordinates over known ore deposits.

---------------

How to use this rover:
Everything is set up. It is surprisingly useful and cheap to build. I designed it with a low center of gravity and adjusted the wheel settings but if you manage to flip it - just press 9 while controling the robot. I suggest you use it to mark GPS coordinates of important locations around your base such as ore deposits, wreckages, dangerous cliffs...

Also, it is the first robot with some "human" characteristics that I built so... it also fights loneliness, a known enemy when you are isolated on a distant planet!

Warning: Curiosity has a piston and rotor - hopefully those will be fixed in some future bugfix but for now you have to endure or solve any problems that you encounter with them.

No scripts or mods were used. Make sure to check out other robots in the collection: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=702882010
