Description
It’s the first robot with a touchscreen! A true Microbot, its just one grid tall!

In an attempt to colonize a Mars-like planet small, independent robots are tasked with survey, prospecting and finally terraforming. Microbot 4 "Monolith" is a cheap, energy efficient rolling sentry robot that will look for enemies, shipwrecks and malfunctioning robots. Fully autonomous, yet if it finds something interesting it will call you to see what it sees. It's lightly armed and features a unique behavior.

It is only one small ship grid tall (!!!) yet it features a wide range of features:

- autonomous, silent operation until it detects something of interest
- will generaly stay in the area where it is released, acting as a sentry
- can engage enemies with a hidden rocket luncher
- optic camouflage that can be changed remotely
- streamlined design and energy efficient
- even though it looks high-tech, it's simple to manufacture – requires mostly iron, silicon and nickel
- carries a spare oxygen tank for stranded Engineers

Access its LCD "touchscreen" and activate the protocol that will loop through two phases:

Phase 1: RELOCATE – 3 minutes default
Moving very quickly forward for three minutes (about 500m forward), Monolith will scan the surrounding area and report with its beacon if it finds anything.

Phase 2: Scan – 5 minutes default
Monolith will cut all communications and become invisible even to you. It will drop down and rotate, scanning its surroundings, reporting if anything crosses its path and automatically attacking enemies. You can remotely access its camera as it scans the area. After this it will change direction and relocate again.

-------------------

Special rolling "propulsion":

- It works
- Energy efficient = longer independent life
- Cannot be flipped
- Can traverse steep slopes
- Less parts, materials and weight

-------------------

How to control it: Foolish human! You will never control the robots! They are the future. Once the Monolith starts its protocol it will only be visible to you for 3 minutes every 8 minutes by default. This is your chance to see where it currently is and interact with it. Other 5 minutes it will be scanning in silence to avoid detection by the enemy. You can trigger the “RESET” action if you need to retrieve it for any reason. With a bit of skill you can even manually move it by using the “ROTATE” and “MOVE” propulsion (this is useful when you construct it and want to release it in a specific direction).

-------------------

If you want to alter its behavior you can adjust how long you want it to move / scan. But, full control is not an option since this is a robot – not a remotely operated drone. It is intended to work independently and save your time. You can also check the sensor if you want it to look/shoot at something specific.

Amazingly no scripts or even mods were used in this Microbot. Hopefully this inspires some of your creations.
Check out other robots like the useful Microbot 1 ( http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=700188745 ) in the Robots collection.

UPGRADE 1: Microbot will now produce a unique humming sound when it's moving so you will know when it's around. Don't forget to download the Sound Mod provided by FocusBoxHero although the Monolith will work 100% even without this aesthetic mod.

A second, I'd thought you built a mobile router or network switch.

I think the "script" is just setting the screen to show nearly the same color as the background with a simple RGB code or something similar

These proportions are wrong! The Monolith is 1x4x9!

(SE Monolith's grid hitbox is actually 1x1x4)

@Devaudio you can subscribe without it. Just click continue.

@Parkasever: I'm a fan of designs requiring no extra mods. Yours technically doesn't, however with your 'Update 1' Steam now *thinks* the humming mod is a required dependency, and won't let me subscribe without it.
