Description
Hi folks, this is my newest unitmod.

Its about the Ebdani from Ireland:

Archaeological evidences show that Ireland is occupated by Humans after the retreat of the ice since 8000 BC.

Since then Ireland is continously populated by Humans and the first cultural highlight were the megalithic tombs in the neolithic period.

Bronzeage reached Ireland with the Bell Beaker people, it lasts till 500 BC.

In the bronze age some weapons and tools of bronze and gold were created by high skilled artisans.

With the beginning of the iron age in 500 BC archaeological evidences become rare, especially in the "Irish Dark Age" from 100 BC till 300 AD, where a decline in population happened, which reasons are unknown.

From the few sources, myths and findings we have, we can say, that Ireland was heavily influenced by the celtic Latene culture. But there are differences to other celtic societies in Europe:

Irish Warriors used no armour, mainly small roundshields or bucklers and warfare occurred mainly in raids between the irish tribes, as decribed in the famous myth of the "Cattle raid from Cooley" (="Táin Bó Cúailnge").

Only with the arrival of the Norsemen in 9. century AD chainmal became more common in Ireland.

So because of the explanations above the Ebdani Warriors in my mod wear no armor, but the most units are skilled in guerilla tactic. So you have to plan your battles carefully, which is and shall be a challenge.

I have created 10 different irish generals too.

Screenshots were made, while using Armoured Horses Mod, CIU East, CIU West from Avetis, which included ACR - Alii Colores Romae from Demokritos, DECALMAP from cjiaba_ and finally Aztec's Environments and Lightings. I recommend to use them for a better graphical experience.

The Stats are developed on Vanilla stats and should fit perfect to Vanilla.

This is a semihistorical, but historic plausible mod, based on Vanillastyle.

I tried to make it historical to my knowledge as possible.

You have to use an All factions playable-Mod to use this units in custom battle and campaign.

I would thank:

-CA for the vanilla game and the assembly kit
-Sebidee for his great modding tutorial
-Ahiga/LoB-Team for wicker/animalhide shields
-Dontfearme22 and Arrowwolf for armour, helmets, shields
-Kraut and Tea for pelts and tunics.

Special thanks to:

PhilipO'hayda and Dontfearme22 for historical advice and research.

Thak you very much for your nice comment. :)

Yes, Tacitus is writing about physical similarities (curly hair, skin colour...) between Iberians and Silures in today Wales.

Its quite possible as the celtic trade network was wide spread.

Hello, a passionate of Ancient Ireland here (and Iberia too) I really love this mod, both nation have lot in common and one of these common things are the very underrated and unpopular the 2 cultures are in the ancient era.
When its about Celtic in ancient era: Gauls and Britons
When its about Iberia in ancient era : Second Punic War

According to last studies it seems that the 2 cultures are related, a story for another time.

Commander7 Ireland isn't "your country" unless you were born there. You're an American.
