WAR: Blue Glass Armor (a Weapons, Armor and Robes mod)

This mod lets you make new blue glass armor, which has the blue hue inspired by the Chillrend sword of the vanilla game. The blue glass armor is lighter than normal green glass armor. It's also stronger than normal glass armor, so it has a higher armor value. The secret to making it? Ice Wraith teeth. Add the magical creature's teeth when you forge a glass cuirass, boots, gauntlets and helmet, and it creates a blue glass version. You can still make the green glass armor if you like, but they won't swing as fast or do as much damage. The blue glass armor is also worth 50% more than green glass armor.

The following compares the stats of the new blue glass armor items to their green glass versions, including the value (in gold), weight and armor protection.

Q. Why blue glass?
A. It looks cool in blue! But it also weighs slightly less, has a slightly higher armor value, and is worth more.

Q. Will the mod change any of the glass armor I already have?
A. No, it just gives you the option of making the either the new blue, or the old green glass armor.

Q. What if I wear only heavy armor?
A. Make it and sell it. You'll get 50% more gold than you will by selling normal green glass armor.

Q. Any other reason to make it?
A. It's worth more, so making it will increase your Smithing skill faster!

Q. What about blue glass weapons?
A. Get them with this mod: WAR: Blue Glass Weapons

Q. How do I get the blue glass armor?
A. You need the Glass Smithing perk, so you can make the blue glass cuirass, boots, gauntlets and helmet at any forge.

Q. Do I need any special items to make it?
A. Yes, you need the normal items for a green glass armor, plus ice wraith teeth.

Q. Where can I get the teeth?
A. Kill and ice wraith, or buy them from an alchemist.

Q. Can I buy it from merchants?
A. Not yet, but I might add that feature, if the mod does well and people request it. So request it!

Q. Can I improve them at a workbench?
A. Yes, with one refined malachite and one ice wraith teeth.

Q. Can I enchant them?
A. Yes.

Q. Who can I sell them to?
A. Any merchant who buys normal glass armor.

Q. What happens if I unsubscribe?
A. Any blue glass armor in the game will disappear, but you will still have the gold you got from selling any of it. Green glass armor will remain.

To make sure this mod loads, after subscribing, launch Skyrim, wait for the launch screen to display a message that all mods finished synchronizing, then exit Skyrim to the desktop. Relaunch Skyrim. The mod should now be loaded.



There are no known bugs. Please report any you think you find. Mods changing the same weapon might be incompatible.



There's no need to unsubscribe. After subscribing, you may easily disable the mod at anytime:

1. Start the Skyrim launcher
   
2. Wait for it to display a message that mods finished synchronizing
   
3. Select Data Files
   
4. Remove the checkmark next to this mod
   
5. Select OK and Play
