Description
The Rattlesnake Flak Destroyer is a warship designed to defend a fleet against fighter squadrons and features numerous Gatling turrets. It is fast for it's size and is able to keep pace with slower contemporary fighters and bombers. As a Destroyer, it is relatively well armoured and features a repair system for it's thrusters. Although able to quickly dispatch small craft, it is not designed to engage other warships as it's weaponry is of little use against heavy armour. Fortunately, the Rattlesnake can rely on it's three siblings, the Python, Cobra and Viper, for defence against larger vessels.

Background
After several years of fighting, the Europa Conflict between the Ceresian Alliance and the Phoenix Republic ended in a stalemate with the signing of the Europa Accords. Although primarily focussed on building a lasting peace between the two factions, one of the major talking points between delegates at the convention was the resurgence of Earth. After a lengthy civil war, the ESC, now known to many as Themis, had all but conquered Terra's former empire, with only the militaristic Horus faction mounting an effective resistance on Luna. Although not formally included in the Accords, many delegates talked seriously about the threat posed to the outer system from a united Terra and how, despite their differences, only through cooperation could the Ceresian Alliance and the Phoenix Republic hope to stand against the vast fleets of Earth.

This threat, combined with hard lessons learned during the Europa conflict, has led to new thinking at Hyperion Systems. When facing the Republic, the Alliance was able to leverage it's numerical and financial superiority and overwhelm the Republic's larger vessels with swarms of torpedo boats and strike craft. Although effective for a time, eventually the Republic was able to formulate effective counter strategies and losses quickly mounted, decimating the number of trained pilots. There would be no chance of this strategy against the countless millions of Terra, in fact, this time the Alliance would be heavily outnumbered. With the Belt likely to be the first battleground of this new conflict, Hyperion Systems engineers quickly set about preparing the defence.

One of the major problems for the Alliance was the number of Carriers employed by Themis. The mighty Europa Class could rapidly deploy scores of fighters and with the CEU's focus on anti-capital ship operations, the fleet could be vulnerable against large numbers of small craft. To address this imbalance, Hyperion Systems unveiled the Rattlesnake Flak Destroyer. Jokingly known as the “Magnesium Miners Dream” the Rattlesnake is capable of unleashing a storm of autocannon fire capable of reducing enemy fighters to scrap in seconds. Not only that, in true Belt tradition, it is very fast for it's size, ensuring that only the quickest fighters can escape it's wrath.

FOR CERES! DEFY THE TERRAN!

Surge's Rant
This ship once had four AI controlled rotor based quad Gatling turrets. They were beautiful. But Clang hates beautiful things, so he ruined them. Despite my best efforts, I could not make them stable enough to publish. Although their have been many “fixes” for rotors, they are still unstable on fast warships. I hate Clang. Clang is a prick.

Notes
Yes, I know it's not really Flak, but I thought it sounded cool. :D

@fgreszta Projectors are currently buggy, so unfortunately there isn't much I can do.

Additionally, even when the projector is aligned (Took some time to align) the welders do nothing, I've made sure that they're turned on and such, and yet they still do nothing.
Please fix this!!

The auto-repair, unfortunately, doesn't work.
Are there any ways to fix this?
The main problem is that the welders don't work as the projector shows the ship in front of it, rather than prefectly joined as they should be if it is to work.
