Missed the old, pre-improvement combine? Want to make it look like you're outsmarting the Combine's tactics?

This mod adds a new NPC category called "Simple Combine" with simplified combine units. In short, this makes them stupid again.

Here's some backstory: In the old days before 2015, combine soldiers were the butt of every dumb AI joke for people who had played Gmod but not HL2. (they kind of still are, depending on how you perceive them) In July 2015, a magical addon called Improved Combine NPCs took the stage, introducing grenades and squad behavior from Half-Life 2. In August 2015, an official Garry's Mod update[www.garrysmod.com] introduced this addon's code into the game itself as a communtiy contribution. This means you've already got Improved Combine NPCs in your game without downloading the addon, so don't bother. This mod, however, copies the soldiers to another category and reverts these changes, making them as stupid as they were for the majority of Gmod history.

• No grenades or energy balls
  
• Little to no soldier-to-soldier coordination
  
• No squads (which can also mean easier stealth)
  
• Less movement

The soldiers in this mod basically only have stand, crouch, shoot, and cover-for-reload capabilities.

This is a separate category, meaning your much brighter (or somewhat brighter) Combine adversaries remain untouched. You can find these NPCs under "Simple Combine", which includes simplified versions all of the original vanilla HL2 Combine NPCs.
