Description
The Caiman Heavy AA Vehicle is a large vehicle designed to engage large atmospheric vessels such as frigates and corvettes. While not as well armoured as it's sibling, the Crocodile, it has twice the firepower and is capable of causing serious damage to larger atmospheric ships in a relatively short space of time. In order to offset the fragility of it's turret, the Caiman has a passive ECM system toward the front of the vehicle which, if the Caiman's orientation is correct, can buy it enough time to seriously damage any attacker. Although it's turret is designed to attack aircraft, some commanders have noted that if the Caiman is orientated correctly, it can bring it's heavy weapons to bear against other large ground targets. Generally, this vehicle should be escorted by other ground vehicles, such as the Crocodile and Gecko.

Instructions and Notes
  • Set all blocks ownership to yourself to get the turret to function.
  • Rotor Limits and Sensor should prevent friendly fire.
  • This thing is a glass cannon. The decoys at the front of the vehicle should buy you some time against turrets if the vehicle is orientated correctly, but this vehicle really needs to hit first and hit hard. If you fire first and the enemy ship targets the decoys, you can wreck things far more expensive than this relatively cheap vehicle.
  • Rotor Turrets are awesome, but they are vulnerable, make sure to face the enemy so those Decoys can attract fire away from the main gun.
  • In order to allow the Caiman to engage aircraft effectively, it is lighter and more agile than the Crocodile. Because of this, it can not receive damage as well as the Crocodile. Use the Croc to engage ground vehicles and screen the Caiman from fire.

Seems like the tires might have an issue as it won't spawn correctly. Tires dislocate and destroy the vehicle. I have tried several times to get it to load. Can't tell for sure as all I can see if from the preview before it destroys itself, but I suspect the problem tire is the 3rd back on the left side but there may be others as well.

i kinda dont understand how to get the turret to work ?
I gave myself all the blocks for the ownership though the turret still won´t shoot at enemies .
I guess i have forgotten something or what.
I would be grateful if someone helps me

Could i upload a modified version of this and possibly the tarantula using mods? Giving credit to you, with a link to the original. I am asking some other ship builders, but your ships are awesome and i have used them in my survival world playing with friends

@RageQuit Go to the Control Panel (the screen with all the functional blocks listed on the left) and hit Ctrl + A to select all. Then use the selector on the right to change from "nobody" to "Me". That should do the trick :D
