Storyline: Saguntum, a celtiberian settlement on the east coast of the iberian peninsula has invaded and looted the greek colony Emporiae to the north and left the city in ruins. The greeks have send envoys to Rome to ask for aid in this matter. The celtiberians are summoned by Rome. Emporiae lays in the influence region of Rome, Saguntum in the influence region of Carthage. The fact that Rome is handeling this matter without asking any opinion of Cathage makes the Punics furious. To make things worse, Rome decides to increase their influence in the region beneath the Ebro by signing a treaty with Saguntum.

Historical background:
Both Saguntum and Emporiae are based on real historical settlements.

Saguntum: The cold war between Rome and Carthage reached a boiling point when Rome declared Saguntum to be a protectorate, while that area belonged to the Carthaginean influence area, as was written in the brittle pact between Rome and Carthage. The Carthagineans could not tollerate Roman influence beneath the Ebro river. Hanibal Barca used this violation of the pact to siege Saguntum.

Emporiae: This settlement was one of the many greek colonies, but first it was a Punic settlement. With the Greeks' arrival the region florished well. As the region was located above the Ebro river, it belonged to the Roman influence area. When Hanibal marched to Rome the Cathagineans must have crossed the area, but it is uncertain if they sacked the city or not. Nevertheless, Emporiae alied with Rome and it was here that the Romans, under command of the Scipio's, landed to stop Hanibals reinforcements.

Judea (emperor campaign):
- new religion (judaism)
- new names for generals (Hebrew)
- new units (based on Greek units)
- new exclusive general units
- new buildings and construction line

IMPORTANT: This mod uses a startpos.esf. This means that it is not compatible with other mods that also use this. You can tick those mods off and this one on. When you decide to play with your usual settings simply switch them again.

NOTE: I had to use the latin form Emporiae in this descripion, but in game it will show the greek form

HAVE FUN COMMANDERS !

No beta options available. Is the mod dead? I really wanted to give it a go.

I went to verify, and the problem of naval recruitment is for the Grand Campaign only. I tried with Imperator Augustus, with Mark Anthony, everything is good, then i went to try Pontus in Grand campaign and i can't recruit naval units

I think this mod prevents the recruitment of ships (only mercenary ships can be hired)
It says "No build points to recruit units"

This mod will be patch-17 compatible only. I might create a new mod like this, but at the moment I 'm too busy with other mods. I hope you understand
