Solar Array Example

Description
This is an example of my solar array.

2 rotors,
1 timer
1 programmable block

The script checks the 4 solarpanels at the center and rotate the array if neccesary.
You can expand the script to handle more than one array. Check the script and change some names (panels, rotors). If you need help, please ask.

This is just to show how it works, you can use this as base for your own creations.

Leave a comment and thumb up, then this blueprint is free ;-)

Attention 1: If you paste the blueprint in your world, you have to switch the panel and the arm to a ship (panel first). To do this, set a cockpit or buttonpanel on panel and arm and switch from there to ship. ! Not from the Seat in the base !

Attention 2: Building this in survival with a projector is not fully possible, arm and pannel will not projected because projector doesnt support multiple grids.

If i build the array and call the rotor "SA RotorV" what are the panels called?

Just amazing, works 100% perfect.

@Xarnarany, havent checked the script for a long time. Place the Array and open the Programmable Block, take it as base for your creations.

@Takeshi nice work can i have the script

a more advanced version? Not possible ;-)
The Secret is the row of blocks between the important panels. If the sun is directly in front, the values are the same, is the sun on the left, the right panel gets lower values because the block in the center has impact on the panel, like shadow.

Firstly, thank you for your works. I'm trying to develope a more advanced version of solar array based on this one. But I'm little confused about the math. How can the output be different if the light have same angle on solar panel?

Wait...that's only valid for parallel light. So in this game we're actually treating the sun as a point light source?(only in that case I think the sun will have different angel on solar panel).

okey, yeah thats true, i got the same message and it told me i had built all the blocks, awesome blueprint anyways.

@Rotax, that is new to me. In my SP world it is also not working. SE tells me: "multiple grids are not supported". Sorry but i cant help you in this case. I will update the description.
