Blair Enterprise (Upgrade Two)

This upgrade is all about shield and armour. Signifigant changes and refinement went into the armour plates, buttresses and shield mechanisims. It seems that in the community despises the ram tactic, and most ships I see are not designed for that kind of attack. Even though it is a viable tactic, and one utilized by the A.I. in full extent. So the Blair Enterprise is now a Starship Heavy Cruiser class, able to take ramming attacks and ram itself. I have tested the front grill against an asteroid, was able to pull off 45 mph frontal rams with only minor damage to the ships overall integrity. Comversely, with the new shield system installed, the Blair Enterprise was able to ricochet a good 40% of the "mac" rounds I used against it from various ship designs from the workshop.

The downside is that she sails like a brick. I will work of that in a future retrofit. In the meantime, this ship is a major work of art. There are lots of things to work on, I will bring them to you all when I arrive at that place. For now, I am very proud of what is built, please enjoy the beauty of my S.E. home and my other fleet supports found in the workshop. :)

I have only played single player survival mode, so I am a solitary engineer. So this is my masterwork starship in progress I christianed the "Blair Enterprise" as I travel toward Mars from a universe generated from Earth Easy Start. So the ship is at this point 100 percent vanilla, thought sloping LCD's and a radar would be nice mods to add in the future. The ship started as a pop can that barely made it out of the atmosphere, and here it is as of now. I have not made it to Mars yet, so as I survive, build, and learn this ship will be updated accordingly.

My self made, 1 man faction/corporation for manufacture is the Blair Enterprise Corporation. I am an old man with an active imagination, so this is the first product of the B. E. C. ! Ha Ha! Anyways, it is alway improving as I go, so any suggestions or comments would be MUCH appreciated.

Ok, that is it for now. This ship is built to survive space, and it clearly shows. So at 24 1/2 million kilograms, do not enter a natural gravity field, please. It has a minor Jumpdrive system, but as I prefer to go the long way it is hardly ever used. If you like traveling the long way, and need a ship that can do just that, then the Blair Enterprise class starship cruiser is a good choice to take!
