Disable Grenadier Class

Descrição
This mod disables the Grenadier class. Make sure you have other custom classes ready to roll. Have fun! :D

Disclaimer: Learning how to edit your INI files is vastly superior to using these mods. Try that first.

Imagine this. So there you are, sitting with your 15+ new modded custom classes, pure embodiment of Awesomeness!!! Now your rookie made it through a battle. You are excited about the promotion he got. And he becomes... A what!!! A Grenadier?! Aw come on! Are you kidding me!?

This mod is for people who are sick of the Generic Four and don't want to see them anymore. KTHXBYE, it was great playing with you in my first playthroughs. But it's time for something new! :D

This finds and removes a specific line from a file. I don't think the grenadier was changed to a different name, so it should work. Even if it was, this will look for that line, will not find it, and will do nothing.
Try it....
But there may be a better mod out there for controlling what classes you get.

This was literally the first mod ever that manipulated soldier classes. So yes, it's basic, but it was needed at the time. Commander's choice is released much later and yes, is better, but at the time it didn't exist.

Commanders choice is a much better mod. You just choose wich class your rookie becomes...thank me later :)

Oh, or another reason could be that you don't have another class to level up to. Try subscribing to a bunch of stuff.

that usually happens when you level up a class and then disable it. But this mod here doesn't disable the grenadier. It only tells the game to never give you that class when you level up from a rookie. you can still train a grenadier from the school, for example.
I'm afraid it's another class that's missing. Because this one isn't removed.

I keep getting Rookies promoted to "Blank" with no skill or anything. I can train them in the GTS, but not sure if they'll finish training with extra skills. I don't have any other mods that mess with classes, afaik.

@dragonkingofthestars: I'm afraid that would involve some more serious scripting, which always takes lots of time. I don't want to spend time on it. Maybe someone else would go for it? Try https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/

say is there a way to 'randomize' the disalbed class? so I can get only get four random classes in a game chosen randomly if I have more then four classes modded in?
