Athens-class Carrier

The Athens-class carrier is a heavy capital ship classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to fleet command and support.

History
One of the largest ships in the UNSC Navy, the Athens was once the UNSC's go-to carrier but is slowly being replaced by more durable ships like the Epoch heavy carrier or more affordable types like the Eion light carrier. However, the Athens is a formidable ship, armed with a large number of missiles and point defense guns, as well as a MAC cannon, a horde of Longswords, and an entire army of troops, as well as holding endless supplies and facilities to produce more.

Tactics
The Athens, while decent in head-on combat, is most useful when protected at the center of the fleet, spewing out fighters and resupplying more combat oriented ships like cruisers.

To use this ship: This ship has an expansive (and rather dark) interior with a pilot seat and control panels to control frigates, fighters, and destroyers.
