Game Description
"Prince John is coming to Nottingham! Players, in the role of merchants, see this as an opportunity to make quick profits by selling goods in the bustling city during the Prince's visit. However, players must first get their goods through the city gate, which is under the watch of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Should you play it safe with legal goods and make a profit, or risk it all by sneaking in illicit goods? Be mindful, though, as the Sheriff always has his eyes out for liars and tricksters and if he catches one, he very well may confiscate those goods for himself!

In Sheriff of Nottingham, players will not only be able to experience Nottingham as a merchant of the city, but each turn one player will step into the shoes of the Sheriff himself. Players declare goods they wish to bring into the city, goods that are secretly stored in their burlap sack. The Sheriff must then determine who gets into the city with their goods, who gets inspected, and who may have their goods confiscated!

Do you have what it takes to be seen as an honest merchant? Will you make a deal with the Sheriff to let you in? Or will you persuade the Sheriff to target another player while you quietly slip by the gate? Declare your goods, negotiate deals, and be on the lookout for the Sheriff of Nottingham!." -- BoardGameGeek

Mod Description
This mod presents a clean, well organized table prepared to immediately start a full five player game. Just deal 5 cards and let the bluffing, bribery and smuggling begin!

Special features include loading (and unloading) hidden zones to use when filling the bag you'll be trying to get past the Sheriff. Using this hidden zone allows you to flip over your contrband so you don't accidentally reveal what you're really shipping into the city!

Another feature is resized merchant and goods cards. Cards are the correct size to allow for displaying the goods you're selling at your merchant's stall (see screenshot)! The obnoxious glare on the merchant cards seen in other versions of this table has also been removed.

Also included is a first player randomizer! While the rules state the first player should be the person with the most cash on them, that can be a bit difficult to prove over the internet. And seriously, who even carries cash anymore? The first player randomizer is a simple solution! CTRL-click and press R to use.

Promotional cards included!
• Gen Con 2014 (Gen Con Set & Dice Tower Promo Pack) - 8 cards total
• Gambler's Risk
• Prince John's Sword Promo Card
• Royal Summons Promo Card
• Tabletop Trophy of Awesome

Rules are also available from within the mod.

This is by far the best mod for this game on the workshop, well done

Some suggestions:

-Use the custom table instead of this hex, its bigger plus it doesnt have borders and since this game doesnt use dice we should be good.

-the drawer is unnecessary and since the custom table is bigger you can just put everything on top of the table then everyone has easy access to the rule book and extra cards etc..

thanks

Updated with custom pouches to replace default bag models.

Goat Religion Emporium thanks for the feedback, I've uploaded a new version which should address your nitpicks 1-4! It does add another step or two to setup for advanced players, but should make new player game setup a lot more straightforward. As for your feature request, I don't believe changing the bag model will help making it clear whose bribe money is whose, but I will look into solutions for addressing that. I'll keep an eye out on global chat, see if I can hop into a public game to spectate and get more feedback on this issue. As for the bag model, I have looked both in and out of the workshop for an appropriate sleeve obj, and could not find anything remotely close or usable. If someone with that skillset would like to model one, I would certainly consider including it.

I also have a feature request. In the IRL game the merchant bags are simple sleeves, making it easy to place your bribes on top of your merchant bag, making it crystal clear whose bribe money it was. The default TTS bag models don't really allow this. It would be great if you could use or even make a sleeve-like bag model for the merchant bags.

You did a good job with this, but I have some nitpicks:
1. Even if you don't accept the random zone's request to shuffle, you've saved the decks pre-shuffled. This wouldn't be that big an issue if it wasn't for the next two points.
2. You've included the royal cards in the main deck. The official rules recommend removing these for your first few games.
3. The 4+ marking on cards is not consistent with the physical version. 1 bleu cheese, pumpernickel bread, and royal rooster card, as well as 4 pepper, 5 mead, and 3 silk cards should have the marking but don't. Both golden apple cards have the marking when only 1 should. This isn't a major issue as you can use the table to get the right numbers, but for somebody who doesn't know about the inconsistency you can end up removing the incorrect amount of cards for a three-player game.
4. Snapping is only used for goods cards, but everything has snapping enabled, meaning merchant bags and money snap to your player card when they shouldn't.

Saves are saved locally, I'm afraid I cannot make direct changes to your saved game. I can give you instructions for editing the file though. Before you do anything below, I'd suggest saving another copy of your saved game state.

Go to DocumentsMy GamesTabletop SimulatorSaves and open the TS_Save_#.json file that matches up with your sheriff save with an advanced text editor (I use notepad++, but something like brackets would also work).

Find and replace all instances of:
"BackIsHidden": false

with

"BackIsHidden": true

and then save the file.
