Hello All,

This map is the supposed location of Newport City in GiTS. Please use this if you are determined recreate the entire city.

The map itself created from a heightmap using terrain.party web app. It didn't import too well because I was using a 8-bit heightmap instead of 16-bit, so I made some changes, added some features and connections etc.

Feel free to edit the map in the editor to meet your expectations. (i.e like adding more connections, adjusting highways, terrain etc)

Map Description

The supposed location of Newport City (Niihama) in the Ghost in the Shell series. A high tech futuristic cyberpunk floating/reclaimed city off the coast of Tokushima-shi, Shikoku JP.

According to terrain.party its 25km^2 (5km x 5km). But the real life scale of the same area is 100km^2. (10kmx 10km). source:google maps.

It's a really nice map, but the starting highway connections are rather awkard and bothersome to use.

That's realy nice work! I love this anime, but how about map, GITS SAC2 city? I mean, the city, and deadzeam, or how this island named ( I forget :С )

@M Sprintz, sma here but then again there is that large colletion for Evangelion's Tokyo 3 along with a couple of maps for the city.

@ Eacon&Bggs, any chance of you updating this map to use the 'Cyber Punk' theme that just came out? It would probably make it feel closer to the anime and OVA's if it were used. Anyway, whether you do or not, it's still a great and challenging map.

Gotta design these networks! ... Its a shell at the moment...
Trying to give it that dense, Japanese feel to it without gridding too :) (until i hit island that is hehe)
Looking forward to more Ghost themed stuff !
