Description
This mod replaces some of the in-game music with silence, so that you don't have to SCREAM OVER THE MUSIC WHILE FIGHTING OFF THE HORDE at your mic but still can have important musical cues:

- No zombie horde combat music (drums, banjo, trumpet, etc).
- No smoked, hunted, boomed, charged, jockeyed, hit-by-burning-goo-♥♥♥♥ music.
- No downed DUM DUM. DUM.
- No GET-TO-THE-CHOPPER!! music aka Skin on Our Teeth.

Everything else is still active and can be replaced by other mods:

+ Campaign start, campaign end, map end, and saferoom
+ "Bacteria": when a Special Infected is nearby
+ Ambience
+ Menu music
+ Tank and Witch themes
+ Random horde incoming
+ "Your friend is smoked", etc
+ Jukebox and concert

nvm i dont feel like learning the source engine or telling my friend how to modify his files, there may as well be another version put out by somebody who cares enough to make it themself so thanks anyway, ill be using the lite version til then

Yes, basically all you need to do is open up this mod and play with its innards. Just remove the silent music files you don't need and repackage the mod.

so this is pretty cool but i still want my escape music as im running the robin williams gm vietnam mod, i dont know anything about making mods for source games like this so is it possible that i go edit stuff myself to keep escape music with this mod?

I will update this eventually, but I am unlikely to litter the Workshop with what is essentially duplicates... I might, however, break this in two parts, so people could go with either one or both. One only silencing the "zombat" and another silencing other unnecessarily loud music.

Which is actually just the thing you're asking for... Unless some other modder or "modder" made a similar thing already.
