Description
The Frigate was a light capital warship classification in the Forerunner Navy. It functions as a versatile backbone vessel able to perform a number of tasks, mainly escort duty and screening formations.

The Frigate is a fearsome warship by human and Covenant standards, boasting terrifying speed, decent gunnery, and being incredibly simple (for the Forerunners) to build. These ships function by remote control from larger capital ships and Dreadnoughts. While the lightest dedicated warship used by the Forerunners, a single Frigate can devestate a whole squadron of her Human and Covenant counterparts.

The advanced propulsion allows the Frigate to move freely and quickly in all environments, and can hold endless supplies in it's single cargo container (thanks to Singularity tech).

Use hotkey to turn off "Advanced Propulsion" so you can perform more fine-tuned movements like docking.

To use this ship: access via antenna/connector and remote control. It is essentially a large drone.

Hey D3TH, check out my update of the Keyship, tell me what you think now.

Bit of a round about way but http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=426449223 here is how I'm giving you the picture I was talking about. The build it's posted to is my second Halo themed cruiser. Feel free to look at it if you want, to tell you a little story, I tried to build my Fortress class design once using forge mode in Halo Reach. I even was working on making it a functional game map. I used forge world and the idea was that the ship was severely damaged in a battle and crashed. I got most of it done yet decided to leave it as it was when I couldn't find a way to make the dome and have it look good. Chalked it up as part of the damage and moved on. The map worked just was never much fun only fighting my little brother in the games and he prefers COD because, and I quote "it's more realistic than your s#%*"! I'm rambling so bye.

Hey take your time. I'm mostly decided against the Fortress class since it is a bit large and (to me) goes against the tropes of Forerunner designs. If I build it it'll be a bit down the lane past some other projects.

I do have a sketch of my design for a Fortress class. At the moment I am still using my phone as my computer is dead and I currently can't replace it but I will find a way to get you that picture.

Especially in terms of weapons, when you want to make alien-like designs why settle for arming them with shitty rockets and pea-shooter gatlings?

I don't see how people bitch about mods. They're very helpful in making better creations.

D3TH: Good idea, I just try to use a few mods as possible, enough people bitch about me using ANY. I'll add them once it'll let me update it. I need to make a small update to the frigate as well.

Brandon: I might, my next work is the Dreadnought (basically two frigates linked to a central body), some Sentinels with small phaser beam turrets (as strike craft) and maybe the Fortress as well. If you have a picture of that design you have I might like to take a stab at it.

Wonderful, are you going to do the fortress class ship as well? I know two forms (fan made based on descriptions in one of the Halo books) one that looks like the Covenant High Charity and one that I came up with that has a dome sitting on top of a rectangular base that feeds into an angled "tail" that while based on the description fits the familiar Forerunner construction style Halo players have come to know and love. You know, how anything short of the automations left running the facilities built by the Forerunners have that hard angular "withstand the test of time" look.

http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=343014073 Use this for the landing gear for the keyship. It'll not look as bad as it does with vanilla landing gear.

Ooooh I see what you meant. It's not letting me update the Keyship, but I will add more detail.
