JRC's Witcher Style Sword Pack

Description
v2.0.0

So from the title of the mod you can already tell what this mod is. It's 86 craft-able Witcher swords, 43 of them are steel and 43 of them are silver. All the silver ones come with the undead bonus. There are one-handed and two-handed versions. Both have the same weight, damage, value, swing speed and are the same size. So you're probably thinking "What's the point?". Well the reason why the one-handed and two-handed versions are exactly the same is so you can choose how your character holds their sword without installing another mod like "Unlocked Grip" for instance.

There are now 'Relic' swords. These are swords that aren't craftable but you must find them through out the world. There are only 10 relic swords at the moment but more will be added in future updates.

Here are the locations of the Relic swords. I won't pin point the location but I'll tell you what dungeons/cells they're in. As you can see they're covered so for those of you who wish to find them at your own pace whilst exploring can do so.

'Aerondight' - Clear Pine Pond
'Slayer' - Twilight Sepulchre
'Madness & Disdain' - Wolfskull Cave
'Winter's Blade' & 'Fate' - Dragon's Reach
'Teigr' - The Blue Palace
'Ashrune' - Mzulft
'Harvall' - Glenmoril Cavern
'Deithwen' - Hall of the Vigilant
'Blade from the Bits' - Palace of the Kings

I tried my best to balance the swords so that you can continue to use them through an entire playthrough. I have also done my best for certain swords to cater to low and high level characters and somewhere in between. I will update this mod as frequent as possible. I plan on adding more swords to the pack as time goes on and even considering adding some extra features such upgrades for individual swords or even implementing a feature from The Witcher 3 and have it so you must obtain diagrams to craft higher level swords. Who knows... haven't made a final decision as of yet on whether to so or not.

Please leave any and all feedback. I appreciate hearing what you guys think. If you have a suggestion on what sort of weapon I should make next, please let me know, I'll gladly consider.

Thanks to CD Projekt Red for allowing me to use some assets from the Witcher 3 itself. Some cross guards, pommels, texture and 'The Lady of the Lake' soundtrack for instance.

All credit goes to 'Humus' for creating the original Cube map and credit also goes to 'billyro' for making them work with Skyrim.

HOW TO SETUP TWO SWORDS ON YOUR BACK

Okay so a lot of people are wondering how to set up two swords on your back. It's a bit of a tedious process believe me. Now, all the mods you'll need to set this up aren't available on Steam, you'll need to go over to Nexusmods to get them all. First off you'll need FNIS and Equipping Overhaul. You'll also need xp32 Maximum Skeleton Extended and then you'll need Racemenu. Not only that but you'll need to also install what's required for those mods to work, you can refer to the mod pages to find out what they are.

First off install FNIS and Equipping Overhaul, they're have a rather straight forward setup, so it shouldn't be too difficult for you to install. After you install those you can go onto installing Racemenu. Once you've installed it's required files (SKSE for instance), just install with the Nexus Mod Manager (or similar). After that you can install XPMSE (xp32 Maximum Skeleton Extended) which will install a plugin for Racemenu so you can customize exactly where your weapons are equipped on your character. You can also install with the Nexus Mod Manager (or similar), it's a Fomod setup.

Once everything is installed you'll need to go to your data file and find tools, open it, open the folder named "GenerateFNIS_for_Users" and run the "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe". Tick the box "Skeleton Arm Fix" and press "Update FNIS Behavior". You'll then need to open up the race menu and go across to the weapons tab and customize your weapon positioning to your liking.

Good luck. It can be a bit of a pain but worth it in the end.

I just found Aerondight and I loved it as I'd completely forgotten this mod and it came as a complete surprise to me!!!
Is there any way to make it 2-handed though? a 1-handed Aerondight looks kinda funky...

Almost every mod is abandoned and old, but this has to be one of the coolest sword mods ever to exist, nicely done.

When I found Aerondight, the best music i've heard in skyrim started playing, not sure if its from the mod, but it definently made the experience memorable. I highly reccomend this mod
