GENCORE Phoenix AF-3

Description
A ship inspired by the game Tyrian 2000. A fighter ship built with heavy armor to withstand light-medium combat and armed with 5 Miniguns/4 Rocket Launchers. Should have the power to chew through most light armor with ease, but has difficulty strafing around an enemy. Dogfighting is limited in this design, as it has too much mass to efficiently navigate. For more proper movement, seek a USP Talon.

Yeah, I mean hell, it took me upwards of an hour just trying to make the Phoenix's large wings as round as possible.

I just tried basing a design on http://s10.postimg.org/u0gfaifrt/stalker.gif
May be possible with some creative cross-connection of large and small blocks, but it's beyond my skill for vanilla.

Exactly. They should add more materials to this game that would cost far more in a survival game.

It's too bad that any sleek or inline thrusters for small ships tend to be mods.

Yeah I was trying to consider that but I couldn't find any diagrams for the Stalker. I also am very limited in the actual construction of these ships, as for fighter ships... using heavy armor to emulate their hull strength considerably slows them down. And I don't want a ship that looks like it is infected with thrusters XD

Sleek, I much prefer the MicroCorp Stalker series, in the games at least, but it doesn't quite translate as well to 3D, IMO.

I am a huge fan of Tyrian 2k. Perhaps one of my favorite shmups. It would be a crime for me NOT to make this and the Talon.

Did not expect to see anything like this.
