Welcome Survivors, to Scavenger Squad! I'm Caedo Genesis and this Fallout 4 guide series will focus on quick tips on particular in-game features, with help from a featured guest!

Cooking & Chemistry - Chemist (For Hybrid Chems)
The beauty of the colossal crafting system of Fallout 4 is the ability to make nearly anything you want or need to continue surviving; chems, food and first aid included! In this guide we will be showing you the Chems and Meals you can cook up, the ingredients required, and possible spots to find said ingredients! Let's start with the compounds that can be made at Chemistry Stations!

Chems/Drugs - Chemistry Station (1:11)
Drugs, or Chems as they're better known in the wasteland, will grant impressive benefits to the player, like raising attributes, damage output, resistances, and even slowing down time! The downside of Chem usage is chance to become addicted and resulting withdrawal effects. Minus Med-X and Buffout, basic chems like Mentats, Jet, and Psycho can be created with the right raw materials. You can even combine them into hybrids like Psycho Jet which have more potent effects! To create higher tier chems like Ultra Jet and Overdrive, you'll need the first rank of the Chemist perk, in the intelligence column.

⦁ Raw Components - Fertilizer, Lead, Plastic, Acid, Circuitry, Asbestos (Bag of Fertilizer or Brahmin at Settlements, Makeshift Battery, Military-Grade Circuit Board, Cigarette Pack/Carton)
⦁ Junk - Abraxo Cleaner, Anti Freeze Bottle
⦁ Plants - Brain Fungus, Hubflower, Carrot, Tarberry, Bloodleaf
⦁ AID - Mentats, Jet, Psycho, Buffout (can't be crafted), Stimpak, Nuka Cola, Whiskey
⦁ Ammo - Berserk Syringe (Syringer Ammo), Flamer Fuel
⦁ Locations - Farms, Chemical Labs, Service Stations, Sewers, Marshland (Tarberry & Bloodleaf)

Syringer Ammo (Berserk Syringe for Fury)
⦁ Berserk Syringe | Chance to Frenzy | Anti Freeze Bottle, Bourbon, Dirty Water, Steel

Healing Chems (3:45)
There's always necessity for staying healthy in the wastes, from Stimpaks to RadAway, the value of these healing items needs little explanation! All these have both no chance of addiction and no perk requirements to create! Speaking of addictions, if you find yourself suffering a few too many withdrawal effects from the aformentioned chems, you'd do well to keep a few Refreshing Beverages on hand!

⦁ Raw Components - Antiseptic, Plastic, Glass, Steel (Turpentine, Various Glass Bottles, Life Preserver)
⦁ Junk - Blood Sac
⦁ Plants - Glowing Fungus, Bloodleaf
⦁ Aid - Blood Pack, Irradiated Blood, Purified Water, Stimpak
⦁ Locations - Hospital, Diner, Wharf/Marina, Nuclear Waste Sites (Glowing Fungus)

Food Items - Cooking Station (4:50)
Having access to a cooking station presents the opportunity to make incredibly beneficial meals for those long excursions out in the wasteland. While some of these recipes require additional ingredients, most food you can roast at the cooking station just require meat from wasteland creatures. A quick trip to camp can turn that bland Radstag meat into a pack mule's food of choice! For this part we'll just be going over the items you can cook that offer other effects besides just healing.

⦁ Raw Components - Wood & Oil (Cooking Oil & Trees)
⦁ Plants - Mutfruit, Razorgrain, Carrot, Tato, Gourd, Silt Bean, Bloodleaf
⦁ Aid - Creature Meats (Obvious), Nuka Cola, Whiskey, Dirty Water, Blood Pack, Purified Water, Vodka
⦁ Locations - The Wastes, Farms, Bars/Taverns, Hospitals

At the very least, this should get you on your way to creating potent chems, helpful healing items, and delicious snacks for your travels; all with great benefits! One last thing to note, when mixing food with chems, the effects WILL stack! If you want to run around as the best pack mule this side of the Commonwealth, have some Radstag Steak and use some Psychobuff; you'll be able to loot entire ruins without breaking stride!

Good guide. Found the backgroud video of a nearly naked dude going fistycuffs with everyone in Diamond City rather amusing. (>^.^)>
